The reblog chain is one of the things that makes Tumblr unlike anywhere else. All the notes on reblogs are attributed to the original post, no matter which branch people actually liked or reblogged. We want to keep encouraging conversations, and give contributors the recognition they deserve. 

Soon, you'll be able to like, reblog, or reply to any part of a reblog chain, and that note will go to that reblog's author. Each reblog will have its own counts, instead of one aggregated number from every version of the post. And yes, you’ll be able to like multiple posts in one chain.

If a reblog doesn't add anything, the love flows up to the last person in the chain who did. Your post doesn't lose notes just because people spread it quietly.

Past notes will stay on the original post — we're only changing what happens from here on out. Retroactively re-attributing all of them would be... a lot.

We rolled out a significant change to how notes work on reblogs, and the reaction has been strong. We're not going to pretend otherwise. 

First things first: We're reversing the change. Your feedback in comments, emails, and especially reblogs, made clear that the rollout created problems we need to address before moving forward. We also should have communicated this differently from the start, and we didn't.

We still believe there's a better version of how reblogs can work. One that gives every voice in a chain the credit it deserves. But we want to get there with you.

In the coming days we'll share more on how we plan to do that,  including ways to work directly with some of you on this and future changes before they ship.

Looks like I've been marked as a spam account and I can't reply to any posts.

Well well… This is usually how it starts. Super obvious PR, but I don’t see the point of this other than FA getting attention and CS having a sort of coming out moment. I still don’t get how this is better than coming out with a simple statement, rather than with a ridiculous PR relationship with someone who is so controversial, but whatever. The reactions are hilarious, there are people delusional enough to believe this is an invasion of privacy when they’re literally sitting in front of a window. “Leave them alone” they say and I have to laugh, sorry. Some on the other hand are pointing out how staged and fake it looks, which is true, but it’s interesting to me because if they were a straight couple they’d be eating it up and calling them end game… the double standards are showing. Anyways it’s a weird choice considering how much they all talk about privacy, because anyone with a brain can tell this is PR for dummies and I do think that CS agreed to it, he’s a big boy so I’m convinced it could not have been planned by FA without his consent.

I find it curious that Connor only gets papped with that man.

Those two being in a real relationship is out the window now, so thanks TMZ lol.

Since these pics are old, and a day is like a year in this fandom, i wonder if they didn’t plan for people turning on FA, and yesterdays drop of the Nntl Enq/Yahoo article about FA's ego and being hated by the rest of the cast. Because these pics makes the two of them look bad, especially Connor. It's detrimental to Connor at this point. In a way that it might not have been at the time they took these pictures.

It must be really hard to control a narrative like this and control fandom reaction, when things move this fast from day to day. Planned narratives must be almost impossible to execute.

If this is pure PR for the show, by insinuating they're in a relationship to get headlines, then i think they might want to reconsider how this will land in fandom at this point. It makes Connor look naive and unsupportive of Hudson. Because let's be real, there are two very different sides to fandom now. If Connor seems more aligned with FA rather than Hudson, that really isn't going to go well for Connor.

If it's a fake relationship to quiet and control the Hudconners, that makes more sense. Bearding the two of them up with women isn't feasable. Not for Connor at least. He's too gay and too proud. People wouldn't have bought it. So pairing him up with a man, or at least insinuating things, is an interesting way to go about controlling the Hudcon narrative. It's unprecedented. From a PR perspective, it's a really good idea, if FA didn’t manage to go from people being neutral of him, to pissing a good part of the fandom the fuck off.

Now it's all a huge fucking mess and fandom is fractioning up even more, according to what version of the truth people believe in, and who they align with and support. That's not good for either of us, nor them.

It's all started to become very dramatic and problematic. It's off putting to me. It's not fun anymore. They took something good, tried to spin a fake narrative, that's now backfiring and it's self-destructing.
