Now that Black Cat is in the game, what would the reaction be to her showing up and IMMEDIATLY becoming the Prescence's very obvious new favourite? Like, she's barely been there for a week and she's getting all of the play time, all of the available skins and cosmetics bought for her, etc, it's really not subtle?

Because, uhhh...I'm absolutely guilty of this haha. She's my new "main main" (my other mains are Phoenix and Scarlet Witch, but I've been playing Black Cat almost exclusively recently.) She's my girlie, I've been waiting for them to add her for ages, I LOCKED IN as soon as she dropped!

Marvel Rivals Self‑Aware AU: Lucky Cat 

“This had to be some kind of joke.” Scarlet Witch sniffed in disbelief as she watched Black Cat fighting enemies in the distance.

More specifically, Felicia Hardy in a brand-new bedazzled outfit, dripping with fresh cosmetics and somehow already operating with half her combat skills upgraded to maximum strength.

“She has barely been here a week and the Presence has already chosen her as its favorite,” Wanda scoffed, folding her arms tightly over her chest.

“To be fair, so have I,” White Fox replied lightly, gesturing toward herself with casual amusement. “And I have also received a generous amount of attention from our omnipotent ally.”

“Yes, but not to her level.”

The irritation in Wanda’s voice made Jean Grey glance over from where she stood nearby.

Jean understood the problem immediately.

Before Felicia’s arrival, Wanda and Jean had undeniably been among the Presence’s favorites. Extra missions. Premium outfits. Frequent selections during battle. Sometimes the Presence would simply spend embarrassingly long periods rotating them in the Hero Screen pocket dimension for no apparent reason.

Jean had learned to accept it with grace. Mostly.

Wanda, however, was taking this new development far less elegantly.

Because the moment Felicia Hardy had joined their ranks, the Presence had become utterly shameless.

Instant selections. Immediate cosmetic purchases. Entire matches seemingly dedicated to watching Felicia leap around rooftops while the rest of the team fought for their lives.

It was enough to make even Wanda Maximoff bitter.

“I’m certain the Presence is simply excited about Ms. Hardy,” Jean said diplomatically. “They always become interested in our newer recruits. Give it a little patience, Wanda.”

The Scarlet Witch remained unconvinced.

In the distance, Felicia flipped gracefully over an enemy attack before landing in a perfect crouch. A second later, Galacta’s booming voice echoed overhead announcing their victory.

Almost immediately afterward, the Presence showered Felicia in enthusiastic praise.

Wanda’s left eye twitched.

Felicia laughed smugly as she swiped her long white hair back over one shoulder and sauntered toward the group like she owned the battlefield itself.

“Well, ladies,” she purred, “that was a delightful bit of exercise, wasn’t it?”

“Yes. You performed quite well under the Presence’s command, Miss Hardy,” Ami replied politely.

“Though if what they sought was raw magical power,” Wanda cut in smoothly, lifting an eyebrow, “I’m certain there are candidates better suited for that role than someone who operates a glorified jewelry store.”

Jean closed her eyes briefly.

Felicia, meanwhile, only grinned wider.

“Hmm, you’re right,” she mused thoughtfully. “I’ll be sure to ask Strange next time I see him.”

Wanda let out an offended scoff.

“Oh, don’t look so upset, Wanda.” Felicia placed a hand dramatically over her chest. “I’m sure the Presence still adores you.”

That did it.

Tiny scarlet sparks crackled violently around Wanda’s fingertips.

Jean immediately stepped sideways in preparation.

“Anyways,” Felicia continued breezily, entirely unbothered by the growing magical instability behind her, “places to be. New outfits to receive. Attention to bask in.”

She gave them an airy little wave. “So… ta-ta, everyone.”

And with the confidence of a woman who knew exactly what she was doing, Felicia Hardy strutted away.

“That little—” Chaos energy exploded around Wanda in a violent crimson pulse. “I should turn her into a slug!”

“Wanda!” Jean scolded instantly. “Remember Krakoa’s law: murder no man!”

“Thank goodness that doesn’t apply to women, then,” Wanda shot back flatly.

“That was not funny.”

“Well, my father always believed in retribution,” Wanda argued defensively, raising a finger. “And my brother—once he arrives—would absolutely not let this insult stand.”

“But is there not a possibility,” Ami asked innocently, “that Pietro Maximoff might receive the same favoritism from the Presence as Miss Hardy?”

Wanda froze completely.

Jean visibly tried not to laugh.

Somewhere in the distance, Felicia’s shoulders started shaking with silent amusement as she continued walking away.

“THAT WOULD BE WORSE!”

The magically amplified scream echoed across the entire battlefield.

And all the while, Felicia Hardy kept strutting forward confidently, eyes gleaming and smirk deeply satisfied as the chaos unfolded perfectly behind her.
