Lenora and Thaddeus Carver, 1887

The children of proud parents Samuel and Annabelle Carver, Lenora and Thaddeus live on Aster Avenue and the family rent to Mr Theodore Wharton. Lenora is very sociable and likes spending time with friends, while Thaddeus is more shy and prefers creative pursuits like the violin. Lenora and Thaddeus are both part of Miss Marianne’s neighbourhood gang and spend their time with the youth of Aster Avenue after school.

Some of Miss Marianne’s neighbours! She and Thaddeus get on so well, and even though Lenora is a little older she also seems to click with Marianne, I feel like Marianne admires her a lot as like a cool older sister figure.

Mr and Mrs Theodore Wharton, 1872

In the refined world of Brindleton’s elite, Mr Theodore Wharton and his wife Elaine were renowned for their elegance and charm. Despite the practical nature of the arrangement that culminated in their marriage, Theodore was softened by the Elaine’s gentleness and grace. Her kindness revealed a hidden side to the shrewd businessman, usually obscured beneath societal expectations. But not long after the birth of their first child, tragedy struck as Elaine succumbed to illness, casting a shadow over Theodore and the residents of Aster Avenue. Though Theodore’s heart was hardened by grief, the memory of Elaine’s gentle nature lives on in their only daughter, Miss Marianne Wharton.

The parents of my 1890s bachelorette protagonist! It was a challenge to make this story happen in game as there’s no death caused by illness, but I ended up using the Basemental drugs mod…. It was very sad. Miss Marianne was only an infant when Elaine died, but Elaine’s ghost does come and hang out with her often, it’s quite sweet.

Miss Marianne Wharton, 1884

The young heiress of Aster Avenue (formerly Hounds Head) in Brindleton Bay. Born to Mr Theodore Wharton and Mrs Elaine Wharton.

Following the tragic passing of Mrs Elaine Wharton in 1875, Mr Wharton became all the more protective of Miss Marianne, but her lively nature drew her to making friends with the neighbourhood children on Aster Avenue. Mr Wharton has designs for her to spend more time with the young Landgraab boy, Maximillion. One day she will inherit the Wharton estate, and the important question of marriage will become a more pressing matter. But for now, Miss Marianne and her young friends are contented to while away careless hours playing marbles and eating cookies.

The main sim of my 1890s Bachelorette play through is in her child era! I have been using For Rent to facilitate this storyline and it’s some of the most fun I have EVER had playing the sims! I spent ages trying to get this portrait looking like the actual child sim, in all her frilly splendour!
