10 years ago while driving him and his brother back home from a gig, cuphead had his first blot attack.

He didnt know what was happening and before he had a chance to realize what happened the car was already flipping across road and into a ditch.

The last thing he remembers is mugman pulling him from the wreck, scraped up but otherwise uninjured, and laying him in the grass. When he woke up police told him mugman hadnt been found, but they found articles of belongings strewn about the sight.

Because the crash happened in the middle of a heavily forested area, after a month of looking, police closed the case and assumed mugman had died and been dragged off by an animal.

To this day, 10 years later, cuphead has refused to stop looking for him. He follows mugmans dream, in hopes of making him proud wherever he is, and that his music might reach him.

All of cuphead’s music is inspired by, and dedicated to his brother and the grief from his loss.
