These were from quite a bit ago, I made them for an assignment. The goal was for the whole class to do 2 portraits of another student, one of them hearing a secret and one of them passing along That secret to the next person. And then line them all up like in "The Gossips" by Norman Rockwell. They were the first pieces of artwork I've ever done that I legitimately could not find a single thing that I did not like about them.

It's like less about how much I like the actual image and more about how proud I was at the time that 1) I had come so far in my technical ability from just like barely a year at college, and 2) the fact that I COULD SEE my progress. Like omg I'm improving as a person and as an artist AND IM AWARE OF IT??? does that make sense?

What's Super Fun about my mental state rn, is that I feel like I'm a useless adult who's doing nothing with my life, even though I am like BARELY an adult, and am in fact doing really productive things to build a life for myself. But society teaches us that the only way to be productive and successful is make money, and because that isn't my main goal I feel like I'm failing at life. Even though I know Logically it's ok for me to pursue my passion, that doesn't stop me from feeling guilty for not feeling like I am progressing.
