the line notes also had to be cut into strips, and without the context of the scene, so the actors could barely use them effectively.
adding to the second point, @thesilliestofgals had said before doing the scene that they were not 100% confident on the monologue yet, the director then had them repeat the monologue multiple times because of errors, until they eventually broke down in tears in the middle of the last one. (they had to finish the scene that last time, then we did a different scene)
would mark rehearsal hours to end at 10, but routinely kept actors till 10:30-11, then kept the managers till 11-11:30 (remember we are all full time college students who have other obligations like homework, tests, etc.)
would have me and another manager sweep and mop main stage, backstage, and wings every day before rehearsal and before shows. this wouldnât be an issue, except that we had to come about 1.5 hours early to get this all done before rehearsal, meaning management ended up spending from about 6.5 hours at rehearsal (4:30-11) many days. (again, full time college students)
gave the management team so incredibly much to do that halfway through rehearsals an extra person (me) had to be pulled onto the team because they were so overworked and overwhelmed
generally overworked cast and crew, and when this was brought up, wouldnât acknowledge it/try to find some balance
