The funniest thing about adding a soul chain to the Partners dynamic is that Vox was already like that. He was already going to do whatever Alastor needed him to do, with very few noticeable bounds or limitations, so “getting to order Vox around” has so little novelty to Alastor that I don’t even know if it would OCCUR to him half the time. He’s more likely to use the chain literally to see what ridiculous facial expressions and bodily reactions he can pull out of Vox, or to just keep it visible as a “look what I have!!!” gesture.
