Where The Light is...

I took these photos long ago and knowing the scale of photography I needed to put out in the essay I had to take a long time to prepare them. I thought I can fit the photos in one essay, but it's not happening! So there should be a 2nd part coming out soon! Walking in Paris is similar to walking to a big open air museum, where every corner and every wall carry its significance and beauty, and where the street sounds are music to the ear. Is it this "dreamy" perception that we have on Paris of lovers and the night? Maybe, and maybe not. What I am certain of is that Paris is a beautiful place. I will try to show you this, let's see how it goes.

On a trip that was supposed to span from Wednesday afternoon to Friday afternoon with Thursday being all at work, one must take drastic measures. The sacrifice came on behalf of rest. Checked in, grabbed my camera and went out directly to the old city, "Kasbah of the Udayas", a 12th century fort which made the first city in Rabat. The Kasbah is on top of a mountain that overlooks the old city and is house of the oldest Mosque in Rabat that was built 900 years ago and still ongoing! Unfortunately it wasn't the time for prayer so I wasn't able to get in. I was fascinated by the small, colorful, and beautiful wooden doors and how they fit in within the walls' bright paint; a reflection of the Moroccan identity of Arabs, Barber, and Moros interactions. There is no better way to describe how majestic and beautiful the city's alleyways and stairs is better than the actual photos, so..
