As much as I love the princesses, the Disney Fairies are very close to my heart. Between positive values, inspiring stories, and a variety of representation, there is something everyone can relate to when it comes to these characters.

Hearing that Disney World is planning to do away with these face characters is so disheartening. Tink will still be around for individual meet-and-greets, but as for her fairy friends, they’ll no longer be seen in the parks. These are characters that many people (girls and boys, young and old, and every color of the rainbow) identify with and look to for inspiration - but apparently capitalizing on other franchises is more important than that.
