doctor-beckett:
“Glad to see that some people know what the purpose of interns is,” Rowan quipped with a grin. He felt the fellow’s pain, as he tended to have so much caffeine in his system it was a wonder that he didn’t dehydrate, but then, he knew how to watch his fluid intakes. “Though it is their first day. Hell, if you send one to get you some coffee, they’ll probably mess up your order.” He looked over at Lawrence. “Rough night there?” he asked, putting together the expression and the groan.
“I wouldn’t have made it this far if I didn’t recognize the true reason interns exist,” he agreed. Really, he tried to respect interns as fellow doctors, but sometimes they just made it so damn hard. “You do have a point there. Think I’m better off doing most things myself around here.” Chase shook his head, letting out a sigh. “Just no sleep. Clearly I was just so excited for the new arrivals today.”
