Comedy legend Lucille Ball was born August 6, 1911. Today, she is most famous for her television work, particularly the groundbreaking sitcom I Love Lucy, but Lucille Ball had a long career in radio. Her radio sitcom My Favorite Husband was the basis for I Love Lucy, and she could be heard in guest appearances on The Abbott & Costello Show, Suspense, and Duffy’s Tavern, among others.

In honor of her birthday, I’ll post some of Lucille Ball’s guest performances on comedy and variety shows, her dramatic turns on Suspense, and - of course - her antics on her own series My Favorite Husband.
