Wizarding World in Film: Medical Schools of the Wizarding World Medicus Medicinae is an introductory film for prospective medical students of the wizarding world. It is the first part to the four films on the diagnosis and treatment of diseases, exploring medical education in magical society. The film features all seven schools located worldwide. At most tertiary institutions, medical school is generally a four to six year program.

Admission offers are made by individual medical schools on the basis of personal statement, educational record and ranking on the Wizarding Medical Admission Test (WMAT). The WMAT consists of three sections made to be answered in six hours and is composed of the biochemical and physical sciences, psychological and social foundations and critical analysis and verbal reasoning. Each section of the exam determines the eligibility of the student and in some cases, may reflect the probability of success in their chosen medical program.

The first two to three years of the curriculum is dedicated to the teachings of fundamental subjects relevant to medicine such as anatomy, microbiology, physiology, medical history and application in the wizarding world. Instruction is organized through traditional lectures and patient simulations. The remainder of medical education is spent on clinical rotations participating in daily management of patients supervised by resident and attending healers. Typical rotations include magical diseases, spell damage, internal medicine, obstetrics and gynaecology, and surgery.
