Was heading to monmartre with my bf at the time, on my way there I saw this one building covered in vegetation and vines that I had to snap a picture of. That was more one year ago, but I really wanted to draw it one day, or model it, either way.
I realize I really struggle with complex shapes and perspectives, and with bevels in particular. I think the hardest part is just accepting that sucking at it and just powering through to the end, to remind myself that it’s still practice and it doesn’t have to be perfect for me to finish it.
"Gemini Distortion"
is it concerning that I realized that my rendition of Kali reminds me of my mom?

I'm trying again to go back to mixing mute colors with stronger colors, I think I might like it a lot. But I guess it also depends on the theme, so maybe don't need to lock myself down too much. Just want to... like all artists I guess... try to find some cohesive style.
Had been in a creative lock for a few days, so when I finally got a spur to draw at like... 1.30 AM I had to take it. I still have an issue of this thing holding me back if I find something is not creative enough or is too cringey but I feel like I just need to just draw.

I think I always kind of hated drawing buildings and architecture because I could never really get straight lines, and whenever I got too into the geometrical aspect of it, I got bored and found it a bit hard. But I started looking at some of @_francis.co stuff and while he masters perspective, colors, shape and colors... there's also this fun wonkiness and life to his buildings. And I wanted to maybe try it out. It really brought some joy to draw building this way. I still find colors, light and shape difficult to get right, but I think maybe at least this way I'm enjoying the process more.
I might get addicted to procreate animations.
I'm still experimenting what kind of color combinations and techniques I can use to make something pop. It's not easy. So far I've mostly just used complementary colors right off the bat, but I noticed something also is happening when I'm using an extremely strong color and pair with a very soft greytone of something. It mostly seems to be working when there are three colors present in the work. Either way it's kind of interesting to me.
Tried weaving in some patterns in my work, I don't hate it.
Tried taking help from Blender to get some stuff I wanted in the scene done

I think it's at this point I realize that maybe I can integrate 3D in to my workflow, just to speed-up some repeated thing in backgrounds
I think I saw this video of this person cooking a meal with zucchini and he cut off and threw away the zucchini flower, and it reminded me a bit of my mom's garden and as I was growing up, the zucchini flower was kind of seen as the delicacy of the harvest
