For some it’s a very traditionally feminine acting lesbian; for others it’s any person on the LGBTQ spectrum who embraces an exaggerated notion of femininity, or otherwise plays with notions of feminine and masculine. My pal Russell suggested I illustrate Alan Cumming as the Emcee in Cabaret as an example of this gender play.
