Frank Angones said Gyro is younger than donald and della, who were kids in the first adventure, set in the 1990s. That would set them at about late thirties. According to frank angones, they're 36 in S2.

Dr. Akita specifies that the incident happened 20 years ago, so this places Gyro at 15 years old at most in the flashbacks.

Gyro is a little shorter than Dr. Akita in the flashbacks, but in present time they're the same height (Probably just perspective).

All of the previous info could be a continuity error, but Gyro is said to be a young prodigy in episode 2 of the 'This Duckburg Life' podcast. "He's been Duckburg's greatest inventor, ever since he hatched."

Extra: You could assume that he graduated Duckburg University, as in the storyboards for Astro B.O.Y.D we see pictures of a younger Gyro wearing a sweater that has the initials "DU".

He describes himself as "innocent" in this photo, furthering my belief that he has normal supportive parents, and that most of his trauma came from his time working for Akita. He also has a graduation picture on his desk in the episode.
