Like, even ignoring how this looks without context, imagine this from Bob’s perspective.

From the sole context clue we get at the start, he’s trying to get Prime to stop fighting to protect the city. Be it from external threats outside of these two, potential civilian casualties that could happen from their fight. Or simple as trying to get Prime to not fight him.

And then Superboy says, “And Mess up a Superhero crossover? No way Dork.”

So Sentry probably nows sees this as another Scout situation, a young hero wanting to prove he’s hot shit and be the one who finally defeats THE SENTRY.

And then get to this scene in question and man… it’s just so fucking sad man. He’s literally begging and waving his hand in surrender to not do it. To not escalate it and let the Void out.

Because while so far Sentry has gathered Superboy is at least decently strong, he has no evidence to prove that he’d even hold somewhat of a candle to the Void.

Cause if the Avengers plus the X-men with even more outside help can’t, why would he believe this Kid, could?

And you know what he gets for his troubles?

“I’ll kill you. To Death.” With a cheerful voice and an arm through his chest.

And that’s probably the last thing he saw and heard.
