Tangled but yuri again

Because WHAT ABOUT immortality?? Isn’t that what Ulla, a student of Demanitus, achieved? Isn’t that a price she paid? Isn’t Zhan Tiri Immortal? What does that say about her relationship with Demanitus? With the moonstone and sundrop? Two undying, inconceivably old counterparts? With the power to create and destroy life beyond our wildest dreams? All of Zhan Tiri’s disciples, Gothel included, are thousands of years old - Mathews is the only one without an explanation. Gothel had the flower, Sugarby was trapped in the Demanitus device - but there are still so many unknowns regarding Mathews and the House of Yesterday’s tomorrow. He always seemed the smartest… are we really to assume that the house kept him alive … or is it the other way around? The house dissolved upon his defeat…

And then there’s Vigor. There was a whole community of monkeys in Demanitus’ tomb. If his plan was so foolproof, wouldn’t he only need one? One that couldn’t produce a lineage by himself? Sure, Demanitus’ soul was in Vigor, but his soul was in his OG body too. Obviously the soul isn’t what’s keeping the monkey around. But needing several monkeys to experiment with immortality on? That’s deeply possible. 

He could also be artificial life, all the monkeys could. There were a ton of machines in Demanitus’ tomb that the cast didn’t even mess with. What were those for? We know that Zhan Tiri and him had a falling out over “going too far”, but what “was too far” specifically? Where is Demanitus’ line? 

Plus the Eternal Library. With all knowledge, that Demanitus LEFT SEALED AND GUARDED. Obviously the power there is dangerous. Read any book about immortality - it’s usually kept safe and hidden. Ulla should have died long ago - that’s objectively canon. It’s in the original material. So why hasn’t she?? The library and its magic. She can’t escape without completely severing herself from this plane of reality - that sounds like Immortality to me. 

Lead to gold, elixirs of life . . . so much to ponder. . . 

I have so many headcanons regarding prima materia, the trials, etc etc … I’m building this from the ground up dude. WHILE patching holes in tangled’s continuity. I cannot explain to you the magnitude of this without driving myself insane because I’m not even close to finished

Laughs:

Nuru: cackles like a witch

Yong: wheezes until he turns red

Hugo: has that long silent laugh, no sound, just him looking like a mime

Varian has two: when he’s particularly excited, a manic evil scientist laugh, and when he genuinely finds something funny, snorting + belly laugh (which he is very embarrassed about)

Ulla: really quiet laugh, like you wonder if she’s an evil villain how quiet and menacing it is

Just wanna share my thought process on the current set of visuals I made for the vat7k soundtrack headcanons cuz I had lots of fun composing the illustrations for each member!

So when I said "Live Again" is like Varian's version of "Wind In My Hair" well I had every intention to match the visual to that motif. So his pose in this visual pays homage to his most triumphant moment back in "Make You Proud" except instead of facing to the left (aka towards Corona), he is facing to the right to signify wanting to go out there beyond Corona.

And the setting is in the exact place Rapunzel made the decision to go over the walls of Corona from the pilot special (and yes he is standing in the exact wall she did to hammer home the parallels).

I made sure every single one of them are looking up towards the sky, a subtle way to unify them as a set. Something something "we are from different walks of life but we look up at the same sky" something if you will

I noticed how Yong, Nuru and Varian's current songs are "I Want" songs—while only Hugo's song is a turning point song number.... cuz he doesn't know what he really wants at the beginning and his song is him finally asking questions and reflecting with himself

And I also imagined the "I Want" songs for the three were sang prior to meeting each other while Hugo's is after he meets and spends time with them—because prior to team radical, Hugo wouldn't be looking up the same way they do otherwise but in this case, he does cuz he met really kind people like them and starts to slowly see glimpses of what they see too
