the "humans are naturally greedy" argument is one of capitalism's oldest myths. if humans were naturally greedy above all else, our species would have died out long ago. humanity survived because people shared food, cared for one another, and worked together. cooperation built societies, greed built fortunes. don't confuse the values of capitalism with the nature of humanity.

Humans are not naturally greedy! A couple of old ones gradually created a society that incentivizes the rest of us to be greedy and evil to get ahead. We are not supposed to act this way.

I just had the goofiest lucid dream ever. I was stuck in a house with a bunch of people who were being really passive aggressive and rude to me and blaming me for everything bad that happened so I just said “okay I’m leaving” and I stepped outside and discovered there was like. some kind of nuclear apocalypse going on outside (I assume this was my subconscious’s attempt to get me to stay and work out my problems) but I just said “ok bet” and left anyway. And the rest of the dream was some action-survival Mad Max bullshit and I think my subconscious was hoping I’d eventually turn back if it kept throwing insane shit at me but no. If it sucks hit da bricks. I’m outta here.
