These are stories of warblers migrating from the tropics to Toledo, the tiny joys living in the creeks of Lake County, the diversity and abundance of fish swimming through Cleveland, and a fungus killing our hibernating bats. They are stories about bugs and the people who love them, and the last wild places in Ohio and the misguided fools who would ruin them. The essays and images in Redhorse present the wildlife of Lake Erie as it exists today. These are the shockingly wild inhabitants of our landscape. I've been slacking on posting my weekly Game of Thrones portraits so I'll dump them all out now. Only two more episodes left!

Matt Stansberry and I went in search of rattlesnakes with a few guides for the next Belt magazine column. Geared up in thick boots and gator protectors, we hiked through woods, fields, and swampy areas in search of Eastern Massasauga Rattlesnakes. We turned up two rattlesnakes as well as a few garters and a brown snake.

Game of Thrones Season 2 is upon us, so here are two new portraits!

Two new illustrations for an article by Matt Stansberry on the Dunkleosteus. Working with Matt and Belt magazine is always a fun job, but I enjoyed this one a little more than others because I knew relatively nothing about the Devonian Period or the Dunkleosteus. I would recommend taking a look at the article for anyone interested in our world, epic beasts, or earth history in general. It is definitely a humbling piece.
