Besides, there is nothing in my past any longer which does not pain me to recall. All of the happy events are connected with people to which I either no longer have any sense of propriety or have too many regrets with to count.

Namely, my “family”. I hate Odin, both love and hate Thor, and I regret things that transpired between my mother and I which ultimately led to her death.

My childhood itself was harmless enough when Thor and Odin were not picking on me, in their separate ways. Frigga was a big comfort, and she continued to be throughout my life. I only wish I had realized how important she truly was to me before it was too late.

How you are able to tell when I need sympathy is beyond my own prowess of comprehension, but it is appreciated. Beside my mother, Phil, you are one of the best people I know. It is fortunate that we met for that reason.
