No Debts Between Us

Prompt: Chetney and Orym grow closer during their woodworking sessions. They share stories, and Chetney learns about his past—his absent father, losing his husband, etc. Chetney takes it upon himself to take on a protective father role, especially in battle. During one fight, Chetney is the one that Orym looks to first. Afterward, Dorian has to convince himself that he's definitely not jealous. Especially not of Chetney.

Prompts: Chetney has promptly decided to be a father figure for Orym, after seeing his woodwork. And seeing the eyes he constantly gives Dorian, this involves some rather awkward and unsolicited relationship advice.

Prompt: Over time, the sleeping arrangements of Fearne, Orym, and Dorian change slightly. Usually, Orym lays between the two, draped across like he's in a hammock. Sometimes, Dorian squeezes himself between his two friends for that sense of comfort. The truth is, they're both a bit touch-starved and need the comfort. Dorian especially doesn't seem to know how to ask for it.

Prompt: Dorian's predictions of the actual worst case scenario at the ball come true, and they're found out. Immediately he's faced with the awful memories of the party when he was younger—only this time, Orym is the one shot down. Abandoning all plans, Dorian is desperate to just get them out alive.

Prompt: Before they left, Eshteross returned Dorian's original ball outfit and mask to the rest of the group. While everyone understands the part Dorian must play, Eshteross doesn't want him to abandon himself completely. After the emotionally draining ball, Dorian is convinced to put on the original outfit, and his friends have their own rooftop party, helping him feel more like himself.

Prompt: Before the ball, Orym places a blue flower behind Dorian's ear to help him feel more himself and not forget who he really is.

Prompt: An attack is made on the ball by the same disappearing creatures that killed the Lumas twins and attacked the Ashari. Orym doesn't hesitate to jump into the fray with whatever makeshift weapon he can find. He only hesitates when he sees one of the creatures advance on Dorian—suddenly the memories from the Zephrah attack, the ones he tries to avoid, the memories of who and what he lost are too much. He can't let the same thing happen twice, but the panic and fear leave him frozen.

Prompt: Upon returning to Zephrah once again, Keyleth remarks upon how happy Orym looks. He admits that he has been healing in ways he didn't think possible, but still feels torn about the feelings he's developed for Dorian. The two discuss not moving on, but moving forward, continuing to live despite loss.

Prompt: Imogen doesn't try to pry, but sometimes, her companions just think so loud: especially a certain fighter and a certain bard. She doesn't want to interfere, but maybe if she helps move things along, she can get some peace and quiet.

Prompt: 5+1. Chetney is shocked to realize that Orym and Dorian are not, in fact, dating, when they are so obviously in love with each other. After they've both helped him so much, it only seems right that he help them in return—by helping them realize their feelings, confess, and finally get together. But none of it goes the way he planned.
