Tolys glowered at Gilbert, who was too close to his face to focus into one image. The only thing he could make out well were the eyelashes too fine and pale to notice from a distance, then the strange sheen to his grey eyes that implied color, a red-blue iridescence. He thought vaguely of jay feathers. “Gilbert.” “What?” He was still trying to get himself straightened up enough to use the wall behind Tolys to stand. It never amounted to enough to get off his knees, and Tolys blinked. Gilbert was here. Ivan was not. “Get over here.” “I’m already over here, the fuck do you want-“ Tolys raised two uncoordinated hands to Gilbert’s chest, and once he had a sure grip on the material, enough so to stretch it out of shape, he pulled Gilbert in until their mouths met. It must have shocked the other, because he jerked back out of reach, only to grunt when he was reeled back in and kissed insistently.

also, feel free to share stories and perspectives about this in the tags too. i personally am a middle child (kid 3 out of 4) and i shared a bedroom with my sister until my 10th birthday, i think? she's about 2 years younger than me, for scale. she actually was the one who begged my parents for her own room because she couldn't handle me and my friends making bad horror movies on home video while she was in the room (valid, we were terrifying and were pretty constantly doing that so) and i believe that one of our older brothers had just moved out, so his room was empty at that time so they begrudgingly let her have it.
