Also me, listening to this song for the first time just now: Wait, I know this song. Omg, I do know things about modern music! Yay… wait, no I don’t. I just know three other songs that have the same melody. Dang it. 

Kakashi loved this more than anything. He loved being draped on top of you while you threaded your fingers through his silver hair. Feeling safe was a luxury that had been forcibly ripped from his hands at the ripe age of five. He had never felt truly safe since his father was alive. Now, decades later, the feeling is unfamiliar but not unwelcome. It’s like an old relative you haven’t seen since you were little.

He’s so used to being the protector and provider, for himself, for the village, for his friends, for the world. It’s nice for once, to be in your arms and be protected. Kakashi wonders if this is how he would have felt if he went with his father when they met at that campfire. He wonders if this is what the peace of the afterlife feels like because this is the most divine feeling in the world to him.
