A very positive song for me with a bit of a melancholic vibe. That werewolf mask from the 80ā²s doesnāt help either. Vocalist looks really sad all throughout their Jimmy Kimmel performance.
I guess this song is about moving on for me. Itās a bit of a relief, and at the same time, a sad event. All those memories to leave behind, but I need to grow up. Think rationally. Be more realistic with my decisions.

ā¦ š¢ I donāt know what to say. I wanted to cry when I first heard this song. I wanted to go back in time and change the way I perceived things. Or better yet, change my fate. I really wanted to be with this guy, but he has forgotten about me and sees me only as his best friend after meeting someone nearer to him. I donāt know how to go on. Should I maybe grab a cigarette?
I found this song via Spotifyās French Indie playlist. I liked its happy tune and a beat thatās neither too fast nor too slow.
Video is kind of boring. Just a bunch of people falling down and up again. One guy with a camera probably to relate with the song title.
Apparently though, after looking at its lyrics, I felt a bit sad. Reminds me of a guy I like whom I thought liked me back. I want to visit him, but Iām too afraid of the risks and consequences. The lyrics, āI just want to fly. High highā¦ I keep thinking of us together. How I thought it would last foreverā āhits me hard.
I hate myself so much for letting these things happen. I had no plans and thought that he would wait for me, but I was wrong. Now heās dating someone. Although I knew nothing would happen between us anyway.

Not the first song I was supposed to give my opinion on. Consequently, after hearing about how old Simon and Garfunkel are right now (and after hearing this song being played by my sibling on Youtube), I canāt help but make it my first post here on Tumblr.Ā
My mom, being a fan of 60ā²s to 70ā²s music, would often play their album on the radio back when I was a kid. Four year old me, having an immature brain, couldnāt decipher their song lyrics during those days. I just listen. What I do know is that it made me feel really sad. My 6th sense probably knew what was going on with the words and the tone of the song.
Yep. The Simon and Garfunkel effect.Ā Their songs are depressing, but it brings back a ton of memories. Every word and every tune of the song are catered for people who want to cry at the corner of a dark room. Watching a movie called,Ā āThe Graduate,ā featuring this song, during my teen years didnāt help.Ā Not a very happy film
I also associate this song with the 60ā²s to 70ā²s era a lot. Back when the days are more peaceful; and silence, more achievable. Compare that to our usual busy city life nowadays.
To have that nostalgic and melancholic feel, listen to their album.
Definitely a classic.
