Lost in Translation

Dreams are made, and dreams are lost whilst on crystal meth. I used to dream big. Had high expectations of myself. I was gonna do great things! Now after battling crystal meth addiction for 17 years, my dreams consist of hoping I can stay sober long enough to pass a drug test for probation with a 7 year joint suspension over my head. You'd think sobriety would be a bigger priority! It's getting rid of the people I've come to regard as family that I have the hardest time with... Even though I know that if I go to jail, not a single one of those so called family members will put money on my books... But my real family would. Not one of my friends would come visit me. My real family would. My real family, who still have big dreams for me, who still believe in me, who I am constantly disappointing, is still there for me no matter what! So why do I choose the associations that only have themselves in mind? Just a small revelation I've been having... Maybe it's time to get sober again.... See how long I can go this time... I've gone 9 months, I've gone 6 months, so I know for a fact I can go at least that long... Why not challenge myself? I think I will!
