Doot's Art Gallery

A Doot-ified Mavis from the "Hotel Transylvania" series.  I love her character; it's so cute and also can be a bit crass at times, but always trying to do the right thing in a world full of crazy monster antics.  I mean, it's like RL right?  :P Note: this was actually created last year and I never uploaded it.  Going back through my Halloween renders directory.  Figured late is better than never!

In the Labyrinth, if you've been [un]lucky enough, you've seen a red light illuminate a darkened brick passageway, followed by the emergence of a large skeletal being colloquially known as Steve.  Not to worry though... He only wants to show you his awesome chainsaw!

After months of waiting, Steve FINALLY gets some ̵s̵n̵a̵c̵k̵s̵ GUESTS. :P  These Asura are just so woefully unprepared at this moment. Dott is in front just singing and dancing around or something... basically announcing to the entire Labyrinth they've arrived.  Lol.  Steve's gonna have a field day!

I've been working on a more realistic looking Spider-Gwen model to show her off in a less artistic / stylized setting. This piece represents her leaving that artistic style of the SpiderVerse movies and coming into a reality that's more like our own. Now I feel as though I can render her in either setting while still maintaining some of my own weird head-cannon continuity :P

This was a thrill to do and I'm excited to do more projects featuring SpiderGwen in the future!!!

I just had to make another piece of art like I did last year celebrating Dia De Los Muertos GW2 style! Headcannon is that after everyone vanquishes the Mad King and Steve, the Labyrnith offers a chance to visit and pay respects to loved ones and comrades that have fallen. 💜💜💜 And don't forget the flowers and facepaint!!! 🥰

Steve, the time has come. Go forth and feed that chainsaw.

"We made it, Kenna!" Kena exclaimed, a smile painted clearly on the spirit-guide's face. "Aye, that we did! (Though it took the merging of two realms to get here!)" the smaller asura smirked. ---- This was something fun I did for a friend that LOVES Kena: Bridge of Spirits and wanted to include their character "Kenna" from GW2 in a scene together. I really had fun doing this and they were ecstatic! And that's what it's all about!

¡Feliz Día de los Muertos! GW2 style - in the Labyrinth! 😜 Wanted to do something a bit different and since there's a ton of GW2 art for Halloween, I thought why not do Dia de los Muertos? Our heroes could return when the Labyrinth is emptied to celebrate their departed friends and family, and maybe even get a visit from their fallen comrades and loved ones? 💜💜💜 And don't forget the costumes and facepaint!!! 🥰

Could you imagine if Steve💀 got an upgrade from the Mad King? His very own flying mount!😲 You'd need to keep an eye on the sky in the Labyrinth!

This was a fun surprise birthday gift for my friend Duke! As the picture suggests... he was SURPRISED! :D

I made my own mount cause I couldn't wait.  TURTLE POWER!!!!! The background was EXTREMELY fun to make on this one. I actually created some brushes for this project to make it look alot like the GW2 aesthetic.  I'll undoubtedly use these in future projects!

Dott just wanted to give her little Griffon a bath. Approximately 2 seconds later, she realized it would be a bath for them both... This was a fun thing to do to get me back into art after a bit of a break. It's my submission for a GW2 Griffon-themed art contest called "My Griffon and Me" Hopefully I'll win, but either way this was a fun technically challenging peice to create. (I won't even comment about how long those bubbles took!) :O

Just a fun thing I did for May the 4th (as in "May the 4th be with you!") I seriously couldn't stop quoting Spaceballs and humming Duel of the Fates when creating this. I finally gave in and turned on the soundtrack. LOL

While everyone in the community have their eyes set on Cantha for the next expansion in Guild Wars 2, I revert back to the old west! :D That's just how I roll :P Thus my Rootin' Tootin' Dootin' cow-girlsura ;)

 I will say, however, that this is one of the most technically complex models and scenes I've ever had to work on.  Bio-luminescence is a monster.  Getting it to breathe through the skin and light up beneath the shirt with the effect I wanted was a chore, to say the least.  But I'm very happy with the results!  And with this being one of my first Sylvari models, I'm ecstatic how it actually turned out.  (To say nothing about how enamored my client was!  :D )

A bit out of my comfort zone, as this isn't the big-eared Asura of which I'm used to making models, but I took a shot and worked on the difficult task of making a Sylvari. (My neighbors think I'm weird for taking close-up pictures of treebark :P ) All-in-all I was lucky that the client's sylvari was more human-like, which allowed me to focus on getting that leafy 'skin' to look great. As with my Asura models, it's not a 1:1 exact replica of what's ingame, but more of a 'what this character may look like in a more realistic setting.' Anyway, I'm very pleased how this turned out and my client was exceptionally happy! Especially when I fulfilled the request to have lightning bolts on their character's sneakers. :P Also attached is the ingame source image of Five, so you have a direct comparison to the game model and my model.
