Because the public tends to be interested in what is presented and promoted best towards them.Β
If you compared the marketing strategies ofΒ βshitβ like dtna and dx4 idk how its shit if its so successful lol to those of Pledis Entertainment who tend to sleep on their groupsΒ give pristin a comeback pleaseΒ Β then it's not that hard to see why talent is looked over so easily. There's also the fact that the success of a group is almost entirely dependant on luck regardless of the copious hours any idol will put into making their respective group popular. Say FiestarΒ was to promote whilst there was little competition and they were able to finish promos with a win, no doubt will their popularity rise, but if they promoted whilst BTS or Twice were promoting there's little chance to come away with a win and if they were to win over such large groups the likelihood of knets claiming sajaegiΒ such as in the case of Momoland but they luckily cleared things up pretty well for themselves.Β
Kpop industry is also super corrupt like I won't be surprised if MAMA rookie award goes to IZONE and not the likes of LOONA or Gidle just because theyβre an mnet group.Β
tldr; kpop is a game of luck and we all should just focus on making our favs feel loved rather than focusing on getting that illusive no.1
