ROBOTS OR DINOSAURS?
R-oh-boh-tzzzz :D
Copying isn't fun. Be creative! Be original! Be the one who did it first :D
Easy pancake recipe using self raising flour and a flower shaped silicone mould on a greased hot pan. Makes a really fun breakfast or light lunch with some parmesan and tomatoes. Or you can make them plain and excite them up your way!
Hello Friends!
This is a strange combination that my mum really loves! A friend of her’s in Paris made this one day and she says it’s “Heavenly, Zack!” So I thought I would share it with you - if you need to sweeten up your mum at any point. Thank me later ;)
Two slices of bread, Goat’s cheese log, two teaspoons of honey. My dad helped me turn the grill on and off.
1. Start by toasting the slices of bread for about one minute. You don’t want them to become soggy when the cheese melts but you don’t want them too toasted either or they will burn. Mum’s don’t like burned bread.
2. Slice the goat’s cheese (thicker slices if your mum REALLY loves cheese like mine) and place on the toast.
3. Put in the grill for five minutes, or until you can see the cheese melting but not losing its form.
4. Take out of the grill and drizzle a teaspoon of honey on each slice of goat’s cheese toastie!
5. Come up with a name for your creation!
I will call mine Baaah-Bake :D
I hope it’s a success!
-Zack

Home Made Roasted Marshmallows
Today was snowing again. Snow. In April! No chance of making a camp fire in the garden today, so instead why not make a home made fire? “How do you do that without burning the house down?” I hear you ask. Well, let me tell you! # You will need: 1 large lit candle on a fire-proof surface. A metal fork or skewer each. As many marshmallows as you can eat. # What you do: Poke marshmallow (1 at a time “don’t be greedy” Mum told me) with fork or skewer and hold over the candle flame. You can wait for the marshmallow to catch fire or you can twist it so the whole piece browns a little. When you think the marshmallow is roasted enough, blow twice on it (for luck) and eat! # Make sure: An adult is with you. # You could also: Add a sprinkle (or chunk) of chocolate to the marshmallow once it has been roasted. Makes a yummy treat. Enjoy and see you next time! :D
This is an Italian Easter Egg my friend Luca gave me this Easter. It is three times bigger than the usual Easter eggs my parents buy me! And instead of chocolates, this egg had a surprise inside!
Scramble!
Hi Friends!
I found a great recipe to make scrambled eggs!
# 2 Eggs
# 100ml Cream
# Pinch of salt and sprinkle of pepper
It’s easy and positively yum.
All you have to do is beat the eggs and whisk the cream in. When it is all whipped up you put it in a non-stick pan and stir while it cooks. You will know it is nearly ready because the eggs start to shape up…into sort of tasty looking lumps, I guess. All you have to add is a pinch of salt and a sprinkle of pepper for extra flavour and voila’ (French word)! You serve this up to your mum and you are guaranteed a trip to the cinema!
But after all your hard work, you should really just eat it all up yourself!
Easter Bonnets
Hello friends! We showed off our Easter Bonnets today in school. We had a big parade in the main hall and all the parents came to watch us. I felt sorry for the children who didn’t get to make a bonnet. Maybe next year their parents will help them. It was really fun! You should have seen all the different ways the hats had been decorated. Some people added yellow chicks and eggs to theirs, others added long pointed ears, and a few children made their hats completely from scratch! The overall winner was a girl in Year 1 called Brooke and her bonnet looked like one the Mad Hatter would make! It was big and colourful. It had two bunny ears, one slightly bent so it looked a little bit like a real rabbit. Around the rim she had colourful hay and painted Easter Eggs. Brooke and her dad must have put a lot of effort into it. She really deserved to win. Tomorrow is the last day of term. I am so excited AND our teacher told us we are making Easter baskets with chocolate Easter eggs to go in them! Can’t wait. See you soon!
