Universal Music

Usually I try to keep myself bottled in and I build a wall so that I don't hurt.  But through life I have realized that I have to follow my heart.  So this post was because I listened to my heart and I just wanted to let my emotions out.  I'm sorry in advance for all of the emotions but I just felt I needed to do this.

This song has been in my music collection for a while now and I just heard it again, it has been so long since I have heard it...too long.

I remember when I listened to this song for the first time and I just remember how cute and endearing I thought it was.

Well right now this song really hit me hard; It pierced right through my heart.  Every lyric, every word, and every emotions tugged at my heart strings.

"If only New York wasn't so far away..."  

"When you're scared and alone, just know that I'm already home."

"Promise you'll wait for me, wait till I'm home."

I love you babe, and I miss the hell out of you.  You make me feel whole, you make me feel that I am loved, you make me feel how I should feel.  I hate that I'm in New York and that I'm so far away. When I'm scared and alone I really wish I was home.  Until then can you do something for me?  Just promised me that you'll wait till I'm home.

This is a dessert restaurant called Extraordinary Desserts and it was pretty good.  The service style was very interesting.  If we wanted desserts they would give us a clip board and we would go up to the glass holding cases and write down what we want.  I wasnt really a big fan of that at all.  I just think it lowers the class of the restaurant and the over all feel and quality.  They stated that it was because their desserts change seasonally and sometimes everyday.  But personally restaurants with menus that change everyday still print menus everyday and I feel that is the level of dedication you need to have an amazing restaurant rather than a mediocre one.  That is my two cents...  Overall the desserts were pretty damn sweet.  I could only finish half of my cake...again with the balance thing.  I feel that for a plated dessert, people need to understand it is just like savory food.  Balance is key, you want people to constantly come back for more, not just beg for mercy and regret eating so much at the end.  Maybe its just me but that is how I feel.

This is the last part of my NYC graduation trip with my mom :)

This is still during the graduation trip with my mom in NYC.  We had a pretty nice lunch before this in china town but I insisted that we HAD to go to Ippudo because it is known for probably the best ramen in NYC.  So we went to Ippudo right before it opened at 5pm on a monday.  Holy shit there was already a line wrapped around the block, it was insane.  We got in after a little bit and it was defiantly worth the wait.  I know why this restaurant has the reputation for being the best ramen shop in NYC.
