Fun fact! Dasypeltis egg-eaters exhibit Batesian mimicry, where they mimic both the appearance and the defensive behaviour of highly venomous Echis saw-scaled vipers. Egg-eaters themselves are harmless. In fact, their teeth are vestigial, and so small they're near non-existent. They rely purely on theatrics, on looking as scary as the vipers they mimic in hopes of fooling would-be predators.
Which is something I bring up for absolutely NO reason...
