michael experiences food guarding which frustrates him greatly because he is not typically a jealous person. and additionally because he is not someone to let himself be angry at other people. he’s fine with his friends hanging out with people, but he should also be fine when he sees someone touching them casually. he shouldnt get pissed off when a stranger walks too close or bumps into them. it should be fine. he shouldn’t be feeling like this.
but instead his stomach twists and he wants to scarf them down so no one else can touch them, then growl at everybody and go hole up somewhere. that’s his. no one’s allowed to take it from him because that’s his food and he needs it and should keep it safe.
of course instinct is different than action— but it pisses him off anyway because he’s jealous and defensive and can’t do anything about it in the moment.
the first time it happened he had no idea why he was so angry, either. which frustrated him more. unfortunately, both boyfriend and friend immediately figured out why he was glaring at them and found it hilarious.
