“No it’s.. it’s a meme.”

“It’s better this way, for both of us.” Alexander reaffirmed as he knew things would have only been worse had they stayed together. “We both deserved to be happy, even if it means we aren’t together, and so do you, and that baby.”

“It’s fine.” he offered with a weak smile on his lips. “I just want him to be happy… he deserves that much.”

“When we started dating I had feelings for someone else…  and I respected that he might be attracted to, and love, other people too and I wanted us both to be as happy as we could be.” Not that anything would become of those feelings now, at least, not anymore. “It was a long time coming.”

“External crazy is unreliable, but I guess it’s like if you can’t make your own store bought is fine.”

“It was open since the beginning. I never thought it was fair to him otherwise.” he replied, specifically choosing to be vague with his explanation. “We broke up though… so none of it really matters now.”

“Yeah well I wouldn’t. Why should I?”

“I guess that’s better than the alternative…”

“You know I’m fine, but I hear those voices at night sometimes. They justify my claims.”

“Every time I start to think I’m getting it together life just smacks me down and reminds me that I’m too much of a mess to ever really get it together.”

“I’m pretty sure everyone is more concerned with themselves lately.. I just so happen to have no life.”

“What? No, I’m fine.”

“I don’t know, I might have you beat for ‘the hottest of messes’ award.”

“I try my best.”

“Well you have plenty of time before you have to decide anything.”

“I know.. And I’ll respect whatever decisions you decide to make.”
