My alter ego Anouk has been making these artworks. It includes paintings, re-used tape and knittings.

Every artwork represents a different country. The colors and rhythms of the lines is a visual of how she imagines the country to be like, without doing any research about it.

She mentioned the countries that she had used in her work but never said which one belongs to which artwork. She wants the people to fill it in for themselves.

Rosa Parks was portrayed as the first black woman who refused to give up her seat for a white man. But actually she was the fourth person to do this. The first 3 women are totally forgotten and haven’t been awarded as much as Rosa Parks.
