"Oh," you mumble as you opened the door for her. "I knew that." No you didn't. Recognizing sarcasm was, possibly, the hardest thing for you to do. You were the kind of person that didn't have any need for sarcasm, and therefor noticing it was practically impossible. Regardless of this or that, you followed Rose inside. You were greeted with a few loud shouts and cheers as soon as you crossed the threshold. 

You roll your eyes and nudge him back. “i was a precaution. I did not want to be run out of town by angry towns people with torches and pitch forks.” you say, eyes looking to the place in front of you.

"They wouldn't do that," you say with a small frown. "The people here are relatively nice and understanding. My neighborhood is where all the lowlifes and questionable folk live."

Your friend is an Emperor? Wow. You must be living the high life, eh? I know the son of Satan if that counts for anything. I mean he’s not really royalty—but he kind of is. I’m not entirely sure how it works down there. I didn’t really have time to socialize when I “visited”.

Yeah, I’m living the high life! Which is nice. Gives me a chance to make things better for those that can’t afford to live like I can. Also, my best friend is basically Troll Satan so HA.

That's good. I'm glad that you're choosing to do that, rather than something awful. Helping the less fortunate is its own reward really. I wouldn't exactly call Lucifer and myself friends. We hugged once, but it was kind of awkward.

When shown the small slip of green paper, you gingerly take it from her grasp and examine it as you round a sharp corner. “It doesn’t look any different.” To be sure you retrieve a lone dollar from your wallet and look at the two side by side. “Hmm…” Your eyebrows knit together as you closely inspect the two bills. 

"I just wanted to be sure," you say as you glance up at her. You weren't used to looking up when speaking to someone. Not recently anyway. Rose sure was tall. About half a foot taller. With that in mind, insecurities aside, you slip your hands into your pockets as the two of you wait at a crosswalk. A group of people passed, and they hardly took notice of Rose at all. You nudged her shoulder. "--I told you no one would care," you grin.
