notes from an interview with Adam Lanza’s hairdresser, Jacquelyn A. Davis
Davis was the primary hairdresser for Ryan and Adam Lanza, although she stated that during the later part of her employment, Adam had gone to other stylists at Robert Anthony's.
Adam was around middle school to high school age when Davis started to cut his hair.
Davis would try to talk to Adam, but he only responded with one-word answers in a soft whisper.
The sound of the clippers would cause him to cower away and Davis would rarely use them.
She was told not to shampoo his hair, just spray it down with a spray bottle.
She was always told by Nancy to take an inch to 1/2 inch off and leave the bangs a certain length, more in his face.
Adam would sit with his hands in his lap and always look down, never meeting her eyes.
He would usually wear tan khaki pants, and a white collared shirt, short or long sleeved. The shirts were always oversized.
She never saw him wearing any black clothing of any sort.
Davis stated that Ryan never mentioned anything to her about Adam, and she does not remember seeing them talk when they were together.
Sometimes, she would ask Nancy about Ryan and Adam, but Nancy would only tell Davis what Ryan was doing and rarely spoke about Adam.
Davis verbally stated that the stories that were printed from the interview with Bob Skuba, co-owner of Robert Anthony's, were not true.
She stated that things got misconstrued and that what was printed in the newspapers about Adam Lanza was not what the members of the salon had said.
