white ppl will steal every aesthetic from black culture and then call it something so stupid like bo derek braids instead of box braids or hasbin hotel core instead of black southern dandism. yall will bend over backwards to call my culture barbaric/scary just to drool over the aesthetic the moment no actual black people are involved (21 pilots vs actual reggae). And if ur white/nonblack reading this just reblog. I dont need any comments talking about how not racist you are + speaking up over actual black people.

"I don't want to hurt you" "I'd like to see you try"
For Mad Archer. Please. When you have the time or the intrest.
A Kiss Amid Chaos- Mad Archer
***
Robin Mills crouched behind a crumbling statue, her bow drawn tight as her eyes scanned the shadowy chamber. The flickering light from the sorceressâs magical traps cast eerie shapes on the stone walls, but Robinâs focus was sharp. Across the room, Alice darted between columns like a wild animalâquick, unpredictable, and utterly fearless.
âStop running around like a lunatic!â Robin hissed, loosing an arrow at a dark orb hurtling toward Alice. It shattered on impact, raining sparks that lit up Aliceâs grin.
âI wasnât running,â Alice said, crouching low behind an overturned altar. âI was strategically repositioning.â
âYou were being reckless.â Robinâs voice was clipped, her irritation palpable.
Alice peeked around the corner of the altar, her golden hair messy from the fight, her face smudged with soot. âAnd yet, here I amâperfectly fine, thanks to your sharp aim.â She gave Robin a quick wink before vanishing again.
Robin let out a frustrated breath. âYouâre impossible.â
âI prefer âcharming,â actually!â Aliceâs voice echoed from somewhere deeper in the chamber.
Robin muttered under her breath, shifting her position as the sorceress reappeared in the center of the room. The woman was tall and imposing, her dark robes billowing unnaturally as she raised her glowing staff.
âMortals,â the sorceress intoned, her voice cold and echoing. âDo you think you can defy me? You will fall, just like all who have dared before you.â
Robin sighed. âHere comes the monologue.â
Aliceâs laughter rang out from the shadows. âOh, let her have her moment, Nobin. You know villains live for this stuff.â
âWhich is why Iâd prefer to end it sooner rather than later,â Robin snapped, firing another arrow at the sorceress. It bounced harmlessly off a magical shield.
The sorceress turned her glowing eyes toward Robin. âYou will regret that, child.â
âIâve regretted a lot of things,â Robin muttered, drawing another arrow. âThis wonât be one of them.â
Suddenly, Alice burst into the open, sprinting straight for the altar at the far end of the room, where a spool of shimmering silver thread floated in a magical bubble.
âAre you serious right now?!â Robin shouted, firing an arrow to cover Alice as dark energy crackled toward her.
Alice slid behind a pillar just in time, her laughter echoing again. âOh, come on, love! Whereâs your sense of fun?â
âThis isnât fun!â Robin growled, her eyes flicking between Alice and the advancing sorceress.
âIt is if you stop worrying for five seconds!â Alice called back, poking her head out.
Robin snapped, âI donât want to hurt you!â
Alice froze for a moment, then slowly stepped out into the open, her face alight with mischief. âHurt me?â she repeated, tilting her head.
âYes!â Robin barked, exasperated. âIf you keep pulling stunts like this, youâre going to make me do something I regret!â
Alice grinned, leaning against the altar like she had all the time in the world. âIâd like to see you try.â
Robinâs heart stuttered, caught between anger and something far more confusing. âWhat does that even mean?!â
Alice shrugged. âMeans Iâm not as fragile as you think, Nobin.â She gestured dramatically to herself. âTower girl, remember? Iâve seen worse.â
Robin groaned. âYou are infuriating.â
âAnd yet, here we are,â Alice said, tossing a small dagger between her hands like she didnât have a care in the world. âPartners. Besties. A dynamic duo, if you willâŚsomething more.â
Robin didnât dignify that with a response. Instead, she turned her focus back to the sorceress, who was advancing on Alice with dark energy crackling around her.
âWatch out!â Robin shouted, sprinting forward and firing an arrow that shattered the spell inches from Aliceâs head.
Alice blinked, startled. âOh. That was close. Thanks.â
âYouâre welcome,â Robin bit out, grabbing Aliceâs wrist and yanking her behind cover. âNow stay out of trouble for two seconds, will you?â
Alice opened her mouth to retort but stopped when she saw the flash of real fear in Robinâs eyes. Her grin softened. âYou really donât want to hurt me, do you?â
Robin sighed, lowering her bow. âNo, Alice. I donât.â Her voice was quieter now, edged with something vulnerable. âBut if I lose you because you wonât take this seriouslyâŚâ
Alice tilted her head, studying Robinâs face like it was a puzzle she was trying to solve. Then, slowly, she reached out and patted Robinâs arm. âYouâre cute when youâre worried, you know that?â
Robin scowled. âIâm notââ
âShhh,â Alice said, pressing a finger to Robinâs lips. âBig scary sorceress, remember? Letâs save the heart-to-hearts for later.â
Robin swatted her hand away. âIâm holding you to that.â
âGood.â Alice grinned, pulling out her knife. âNow, cover me.â
With that, she was off again, darting toward the altar with a burst of reckless energy. Robin cursed under her breath, firing arrows at the sorceress to keep her distracted.
Alice reached the altar just as the sorceress unleashed a wave of dark magic. âCatch!â she shouted, tossing the silver thread toward Robin.
Robin caught it midair, quickly nocking it to her bow. The thread pulsed with energy, but Robin didnât hesitate. âThis ends now,â she muttered, letting the arrow fly.
The silver thread struck the sorceressâs staff, shattering it in a blinding explosion of light. When the dust cleared, the sorceress was gone, and the chamber was silent.
Robin lowered her bow, exhaling slowly. âFinally.â
Alice strolled over, her hands in her pockets and a smirk on her face. âNice shot, Nobin.â
Robin raised an eyebrow. âYouâre lucky I didnât aim at you.â
âPlease. Youâd miss me too much,â Alice said breezily.
Robin opened her mouth to argue, but Alice stepped closer, her grin softening. âYou know,â she said, her voice lower now, âif you wanted to spend more time with me, you couldâve just asked.â
Robin blinked. âWhat?â
Alice patted her on the shoulder, then leaned in and kissed her lightly on the cheek. The touch was quick and fleeting, but it left Robin frozen in place.
âNext time,â Alice said, stepping back with a wink, âjust ask me to dinner instead of dragging me into a death trap.â
Before Robin could respond, Alice turned and strolled toward the exit, leaving Robin standing there with her heart pounding and her cheeks burning.
âUnbelievable,â Robin muttered, slinging her bow over her shoulder. But despite herself, she couldnât stop the small smile creeping across her lips as she followed Alice into the sunlight, her fingers tracing Aliceâs kiss.
