I have a date later and I feel like I’m catfishing him because he doesn’t know i’m going to have a throat tattoo in a week

people will often say “why can’t you just answer my text? you’re already on your phone doing something else just take the two seconds to text me back” and they ignore the part where my response tacitly opts me in to a conversation that I don’t feel like having at the moment, and if I stop responding to THAT I’m criminalized even more than if I had just ignored the message in the first place. nobody text me ever unless it’s to just hand me some information. I will not have a conversation over text
