And for a second, he almost gave into old habits. Almost used your shadow against you

Next thing you know, you were in your bed and he was wrapped around you

It’s definitely a learning curve for you both

You still slip up. You still say hurtful things sometimes. But he’s combatted that with extra cuddles and reassurance

And don’t think this is a one way street, he does similar things too. Hes a snarky bitch and old habits die hard.

One of those habits is taking space away when he thinks that he hurt you.

And so when he’s done that the first time, you had to ask around to figure out where he was.

Surprisingly, MK was the one to find him and had to inform the emo that you were freaking out.

He immediately ran back to you with apologies some takeout.

Now when he feels like hes hurt you, he just goes into the next room and FaceTimes you so you know he’s not leaving.

He’s silent when he does this, but it’s brings you some comfort that you can at least see him

Macaque

This is the epitome of sunshine child with a grumpy parent who would do anything for them istg

Like, constantly asks why you need this or that when you mention stuff you want to get but you find the exact thing you wanted in your room within the next week

First thing he taught you: you punch with your thumb outside and tucked under your other fingers

He’s very much one of those guardians that makes you take karate or jiu jitsu lessons so you know how to handle yourself

Favorite bonding activity is definitely sparring with you. Partly because it lets you practice your skills and mostly because he can see your growth and just be prouder of it

Definitely has snuck you guys into several movie theaters, with snacks smuggled in as well

I feel like he’s a good cook. Like, really good. And very resourceful too. So whenever he gets bored, he looks around the place and just makes up a recipe on the spot and makes you taste test it.

You get very annoyed that he never writes down these recipes and therefore, yall forget them.

He will bitch and moan about driving you places or you asking him for shit. But when you finally are able to get around on your own like getting your license, suddenly he’s suggesting he take ya

Wukong

This is the parent that takes you everywhere they go

Is it so you can experience a lot of things and you need to get out of the house? Yes, but also: he has ALOT of enemies

Like Macaque, he does also teach you how to defend yourself. But while you ask him to teach you how to overpower your opponent, he’s focusing on distracting them and you getting away

This does lead to some tension. Many things do with him

However, once you start getting older he realizes he has to get over himself and makes sure to explain why he does the things he does.

That does help yall bond more and get closer

Favorite bonding activity: food and gossip

You tell him about what shenanigans your friends get up to and he’ll tell ya ALLLLL the drama with the other celestials

And many of this tea is spilled over takeout from Pigsy’s

He likes trying to spend time with you however he can so a lot of the time, you and him just sit in the same room and do different activities.

He also loves going to places where you can sign up for a class to paint something or throw pottery. He likes the new experience and you tagging along with him makes it even better

If you are creative in anyway, he will have any and all pieces and gifts you made standing loud proud in every corner of his house

Whenever you show off a new outfit to go to an event, he has to hold back tears cause he doesn’t want to see his baby all grown up

First and foremost, I think you and Macaque met at a very… interesting time

He was trying to mess with some of Wukongs stuff on FFM and you were there to wait for said monkey in order ti talk to him about MKs training.

You guys walked into the same room at the same time at different entrances, Macaque with some stolen trinkets and you with scrolls.

Before you had time to really process what had happened, Macaque just shadowed away and you had to explain to Wukong where his hand held golden mirror went

Over time, you and Macaque were in proximity to one another more often than not because of MK and Wukong and he took pleasure in jokingly flirting with you trying to crack your ‘goddess’ persona

Whenever you would finally bite back, he would just smile gleefully and retreat back to the shadows before you could smack him.

You once made a comment about needing a new hair comb when in his presence. Two days later, you found one carved from obsidian under the tree at FFM you usually sit at to take a breather.

But this man can only do subtle for so long before straight up asking you out to dinner.

Now, I’d say Macaque is a very… territorial character. You’re a goddess and many in the Heavens would love to court you as well, so he gets especially prickly around those deities.

However, after chastising him, you compromised to you wearing a pair of amethyst and black gold earrings whenever attending a celestial event.

And because of his past, he really doesn’t like doing dates in the celestial realm. You really don’t mind as you get to take a break from your duties and just hang out

He definitely invites you to see his plays, and by the end, you have three pages of front to back bullet points about how he got some of the legends wrong

This is now a running gag where you point out everything that he changed and him arguing about how the changes enrich the experience

I can see you both sneaking in to see actual musicals and plays when they come into town.

He basically begged you to come with him when SIX would come into town. (Why SIX? Idk, I just think he would like the concert feeling)

However, his favorite past time with you is walking in the park at night and just talking. About anything and everything. He especially loves it when you get into a back and forth about different topics like debating which adaptation of different stories are the best (He is adamant that any movie adaptation of any story ever will always suck. You agree to a certain point and then you argue which movie adaptation is the worse.)

Mei

I feel like she may have the hardest time accommodating you

SHE GETS IT. SHE DOES. But she’s very loud and is always trying to push her limits (comes with being an adrenaline junkie) so calming down for you is going to be a learning curve

But once she learns and clocks it, she is very on top of shit for you

If your headphones break? She’s going allllll the way to get them repaired. If they can’t be repaired, she is on the hunt for the exact same ones. She will go to eBay if they are discontinued, she swears

I feel like if you don’t like the texture of her varsity jacket, she gets it in a different material so that she can give it to you when you get cold

Going back to pushing her limits, she does try everyone of your hobbies, and she asks a lot of questions in which you are happy to answer

She LOVVVEESSS it when you feel like going on a ride on her bike. You like the feeling of the wind and she likes the feeling of you hugging her from behind

Can and will drop plans when you feel like not going and will cuddle you all night instead

She may be still getting her bearings, but trust me when I say she loves you more than life itself :3

MK

Definitely gets it instantly.

You guys go back and forth on rambling on your hyperfixations (mostly him telling stories about Wukong from the Journey to The West)

Learns about your comfort food and makes sure to keep them in stock when you stay over

Has made sure your favorite hoodie of his is always clean and readily available

One of his favorite dates to do is a movie night where you both just binge cringey movies and give commentary.

When out and about and you get overstimulated, especially on a group, he will be the ‘bad guy’ and say goodbye to everyone so you can go home

When overstimulated and you don’t want to do anything and you feel bad about it, he makes it into a routine to just draw you as a still life so that you feel like your doing something and he gets drawing practice

Everyone else tells him to be more humble. If you lean into his cockiness, you’d get very entertaining reactions

This one is a bit harder cause he’ll throw it right back at ya, so you gotta hit hard and fast so you don’t get shot back

Something that makes his brain go into utter shutdown and reboot is messing with his ears

Each time you tickle his ears with a feather, he jumps and turns around, looking like he’s booting back up. You’d think he’d be able to hear you, but nah

Another thing is soft physical touch

When he’s training, wiping the sweat off his brow with a towel can and will make him melt and you relish it every time

After you bring possessed by LBD, I see this man as clingy

He’s always making sure a hand or his tail in on you in some way. As a comfort to you that he’s there and as a comfort to himself that you’re safe

I also see him being stalkerish for a bit. Always spying on you when you go out to make sure nothing funny happens.

Many many nights are ended with you in his arms as you two sleep in the couch after binging some of your favorite media

He will outright refuse to do anything the heavens need because he doesn’t want to leave you just yet. The fact he couldn’t get to you before you were taken by LBD terrified him

He’s not leaving you in your apartment alone. He’s moved in now, cant stop him

A shadow follows you for a few weeks. You know it’s him, he knows you can see him. You do talk to him and he doesn’t do it as obvious or often

The amount of trainings go up. He is determined not to lose you again

You are now tagging along with him when he hangs out with Mei. You just get dragged with them.

You’re either sleeping over at his or he’s sleeping over at yours. There is no sleeping in separate places for a solid three months. Pigsy had to drag him out of your apartment a few times

Youre in the workshop with Reds most of the day, just doing your own thing. If you ah e to go to the bathroom, they will accompany you and wait outside the door

PIF and DBK are more quiet around you, and more generous. PIF takes you away once in a while to go with her to dress up just to help feel in charade of your own body. DBK will learn and cook your favorite foods every meal, making sure you’ve had your fill.

In all honesty, Wukong knew you would accept. Hell, most of the heavens knew you would. So seeing Nezha being so nervous, adjusting his ribbons and his hair before he went off to ask you was a sight.

The monkey chuckled, hanging upside down infront of Nezha as he turned around.

“Really? This is what got you sweating?” He asked. The Lotus Prince rolled his eyes and shoved Wukong, making him flip in the air and land on his feet.

“Leave me be, Wukong.” He sneered, walking out the door. Wukong cackled, watching as the boy barely kept his hands from shaking as he made his way to you.
