The Swan ate Santa’s mince pie… She never takes food. It’s like she knows. Maybe she even knows something we don’t. Some kind of un-spoken agreement with some shady reindeers. I will let her off. At least the scene has been set and looks impressively genuine… A trail of crumbs, some spilt milk. The carrot has been left intact. No surprises there. I’m going to have to chew it up and spit it back out, like I’ve been doing for the last 5 years. Lots of wrapping to do now. I will leave The Swan to stare into whatever world she thinks is going on under the tree, while she enjoys her post-mince pie slump and get on with wrapping.
