A photo of me and my friend Scott at the end of the hospital foundations Hike for Huntington's. With his help we managed to raise awareness and 100K (incredible right?? From a hike!!!) to help our patients. He was our group's guide and ever the gentleman, he gave me his UV protection shirt because I was starting to burn even though I put on tons of sunscreen. You we're amazing this weekend, a great time was had by all and your generous support, your being there and your friendship helped to treat so many who are suffering.

(Trix was there but she was up ahead when this was taken. She's ... well...less insane on trails now. The classes are helping)

I couldn't hold my tongue any longer and after I treated the tiny cut on her leg, I marched her over to where my battered and exhausted friends were being treated and showed her just how hard they worked, selflessly putting themselves at risk.

You're all banged up but your suits and equipment took the worst of it. With rest, Ice packs, pain meds as needed, lots of fluids and lots of video games ( I got your back Alan), I promise you'll be as good as new very soon, if you follow my instructions.

Thanks for all that you guys do! The planet's lucky to have you.

First day back on shift. Office tidy but a bit dusty. No more knee brace. No more crutches. Doggy daycare set up for Trix. I'm better organized to be a dog-mum now.

Lovely treat was delivered today as I got through my paperwork. Can you guess who they're from?

Fun jelly beans and fun (also healthy to counteract the candy) fruit tray and some natural ingredient dog biscuits for Trix!

THANKS GUYS, FOR ALL THE HELP WHEN I WAS A BROKEN DOWN MESS.

All healed and ready to go back to work. As life goes, I'm sure there'll be a time when I get to repay your kindness and thoughtfulness.

When you're like this for another 6 weeks

And people take time out of their busy lives to take care of your "kid" who needs a lot of this -

You realize that there are people out there who really care. Thanks to Alan,Virgil and Scott for giving Trix the exercise she needs while I'm laid up. Neighbour's are helping g as well but she mostly loves her time with you guys.

On an even more delightful note after Scott took my girl joy riding by going nnnewmmm and doing all this (yes he made sure she was clean b 4 she came home),

She slept like a baby well into the following morning.

The Tracy’s like to talk about their med bay and their state of the art facility but they have been treated in hospitals before because like us they are human.The work they do must yield some terrible injuries. Maybe they have their own specialists they bring to the island because, $$$. Maybe they are difficult patients. Who knows?"

I can address this. Sure.

First, "who knows?" I know and they know and its private. Im sure everyone is aware of Doctor/Patient confidentiality.

As for the rest, Dr. Sally Tracy is admired by physicians world over for her excellent work in the medical field so do they have good care on the island and a very functional state of the art med facility, of course, why wouldn't they?

Emergency docs like me in many countries have treated them when they showed up for care because that's what we're there for. And they are not only excellent patients, they are extremely grateful to us for what we do not just for them but for anyone they bring in for us to treat. They are also very generous and kind.I hope I never have to see any of them for anything serious. That would be terrible. Rest assured if they need a bone set, stitches , wound dressing or any care we can provide we will give it to them and to anyone unlucky enough to have gone through something where they would have had to bring you to my ER. Wondering about people's pain and injuries is a a little dark don't you think?

The doctor is in.

I saw a post by a farmer who saw her and I sent it to Alan and he went looking innthe fields and the bushes and he found her. She was a little worse for wear but she'd been gone almost a week after all.

Alan took her to a vet, got her cleaned up ( it took a while between her running about and all the dirt and caked on mud) but shes home.

And now we snuggle till we're both 100%

I'm stuck, injured and off work and I can't go looking for her. I have no idea where she could be. Seems no one does. I feel stupid for even doing this race and I'm alone. I could have lost my life but I feel like I have, because I've lost my dog. Anything could happen to her out there. No one saw her. She's just vanished.

Here is a photo of my girl, Trix. She's got a collar and she's chipped. If found, please take her to a vet and they can scan her chip and return her to me.
