The Best Clubs in NYC (Blog Post #1)
The last two years in NYC I have found myself being fortunate enough to get paid to work in the nightlife industry as both a promoter and a DJ. Being such an avid night-goer/party-er I have put together a list of my top five personal favorite clubs in the city. This list was created with multiple variables in mind including music, alcohol selection, prices, crowd and staff. I have personally attended and worked at each of these.
1. Motel 23
Motel 23 is today’s Studio 54. Every Wednesday night a massive party is hosted with all of New York’s hottest young people. There is always a great music selection including house, hip-hop and more. Alcohol is not always the cheapest, however, a great selection (and my own personal section) makes up for that every week.

2. Georgia Room
One of my favorite places to dance with my friends. A very luxurious looking dancehall with a lobby and coat check offered right outside. The music is always amazing with only classics being played throughout the night. One of my favorite parts of this club is the disco ball that is installed in the middle of the room. It’s like no other you’ve ever seen. Drinks here can be expensive but they offer a great selection of top tier alcohol.

3. The Blond
The Blond is definitely one of NYC’s favorite clubs with so many people in the nightlife scene regularly throwing parties and events here. The music is almost always top tier with one of my personal favorite DJs being housed there. The alcohol isn’t the best quality for the price, however, the sections/tables offered are very luxurious and offer a lot of space. The doorman/staff can be a pain at times even for promoters trying to get people in.

4. Kind Regards
At first glance Kind Regards may not seem all so special with so much hype around such a small bar. However, if you have the privilege of entering the VIP floor it is an entirely new club. Downstairs features a separate DJ and a multitude of mirrors, lights and disco balls. The downstairs is usually reserved for special events and private parties and drinks are usually priced high for the quality pushing this further down the list.

5. Pianos
My personal favorite club to DJ at because of the crowd. Everyone here is always amped up and mosh pits are a regular thing. It’s a different vibe from the other clubs on this list, however, for that reason it made it on the list. Drinks are cheap and the music is fun but the only complaint is how hot it can get upstairs. By midnight it feels like a sauna with no windows to open or A/C strong enough to fight it. Pianos offers options as there is the back room, which boasts great music and a large stage and a chill bar in the main room if the upstairs gets to be too much.Pianos is located right next to Kind Regards.
