hi anon ! not a stupid question at all ! during an exchange, participants are assigned a giftee whom they are required to create a gift for. however, if a creator chooses to create an additional piece for another participant in addition to their assigned giftee , that would be considered a treat. basically , a treat is an additional (and optional) piece that you can create for someone based on their requests ! all requests are viewable in the 'Requests Summary' tab ! hope this clears it up, anon, but feel free to reach out if you have any further questions !

Hello! We love that you have a long idea, but it is absolutely required to post a finished work. You are not allowed to post just one or a few chapters, as from your giftee’s perspective that is a partial gift. If you are unable to finish by the time of deadlines, there is no shame in defaulting and you could still gift the fic to them when it is ready.
