This likely wonโt get read. But I work in Hollywood. Iโve been part of major studio movies and well known independent movies.
I could tell you the locations to every office on each of the major lots. And although I wouldnโt say that I am close with many of the executives or agents , Iโve probably had a conversation on been on the line while a conversation is happening.
Not everyone is corrupt in the circle that you mentioned. And I barely had the guts to get into this industry because I thought almost everyone was. As Iโve seen different movies get made and end up successful - there isnโt a puppetmaster at the top putting imagery easter eggs into ____ movie out there. Infact Iโd say that some of the VFX / Art Dept secret society stuff comes from jackasses who want people talking about their work and create pranks. ( IE - I think that the Illumanati - Rap controversy is designed for publicity purposes > anything else ) .
ALL OF THAT BEING SAID. I think the problem with pedophilia in Hollywood is on par if not worse than the situation in the Catholic Church. I grew up around athletes before moving to Hollywood. The amount of psychological rejection, loss, and lack-of-control in ones life is something I know. But Iโve met children who get into the industry through โTalent Showcasesโ at a very young age and see them trainwreck due to abuse.
The Oakwood Apartments (which are walking distance from Universal & Warner Brothers) , are where youโll see a lot of shady stuff go down. Take any Southwest Airines flight to Burbank Airport and youโll probably meet a mother & son / mother & daughter flying out to live out here during pilot season. TX, NY, and Canada have set ups where they do actor showcases and managers / producers / agents select kids to come out here.
For those parents - this isnโt free at all. They end up paying 3k a month on an apartment that isnโt super fancy. 3-10k on acting lessons/ showcases / managers ( yes managers figure out ways to get paid on top of their commision). And then thereโs the culture.
What theyโll tell you is that you need to sign with a manager/agent within the minute you get to LA. Mom will hear that from the other moms. So knowing that thereโs a strategy and limited funds to stay in LA , sheโll have her kid hang out around the complex and mingle with other kids.
This is where things get nuts. Some of the kids staying at Oakwood are basically recruiters for the managers/agents/producers. Theyโll invite these kids to a party at a managerโs house. Usually the name of one of the managerโs clientโs shows will be associated with itโฆ โOh thereโs a Hannah Montana wrap party at ____ & ____ managerโs house // iโm going to the iCarly partyโ stuff that kids hear and get excited to tell their friends back home about.
One of the things that showcase runners / managers will make clear right away is that โproducers and directors want to find a kid that is their own person. The second they see mom hovering over themโฆ theyโre out.โ
So. What happens if mom wants to tag along? Usually the kid is brushed off. Iโve known child actors who have told me this stuff multiple times.
Now. I think that any kid who gets into acting at 15 is basically becoming a college student at a party school in Colombia. Not every student parties. But they arenโt naive to the ongoings. That being said. These fake โwrap partiesโ arenโt just a few adults with wine in hand. Thereโs a lot of pills & a lot of cocaine.
If you search deaths of teen stars , look at their show runner/manager/agent. When people within this town hear about someone young dying of an OD or drug related suicide , the conversation turns to how funny it is that their producer was devastated. A somewhat famous actor died in a hotel in Canada of a heroine overdose. But no one wanted to discuss the parties he was invited to when he got into the industry. Or his fellow actor on the show / close friend got busted for child porn, but somehow .. the show runner gets to make progressive talks about equality and gets praised for just being reverent to his actors problems. Despite being a person who hosted very adult parties with cast members who were too young to be there.
The odds of this story becoming public would require organization. The reason why this story has always been silenced is due to the fact that many of the PR Giants are tied into these crimes. The same people who tell us the news - FOX, CNN, NBC ) etc are owned by the same people who make our movies ( Fox, Warners , Viacom ) . The minute that stories of Hollywood corruption come out, the share holders / advertisers / investors begin to pull out.
