If I could live life all over again, I would be the geekiest geek of geeks. Instead, I settled for the life of a rock star, working in recording studios, on television sound stages and performing in live venues at more international locations than I care to remember. Oh well, we all can't be geeks. The song titled "Low Rider" is probably one of the most recognizable tunes in the world, so I'm pretty proud of the fact the my father wrote it with his band "War." From a young age, music has alway been a big part of my life. In 2010, a dear friend asked me to come to Brazil to see a project he was working on in the rainforest. What I saw affected me so deeply that I left my life as musician and producer, to pursue my efforts in restoring the Amazon Rainforest. We have 3.5 square miles of land that has been completely destroyed, where rainforest once stood. Our goal is a simple; regrowing the deforested area from scratch, provide jobs to the local community, and claim as national reserves at the time our rainforest has become self-sustaining. I've often wondered how can I promote my efforts in Brazil using my experience in music. Then it hit me... Become a DJ. What better platform to promote eco-causes internationally then through the celebration of music to the masses. Doing the pro DJ thing and reversing the effects of climate change are two subjects I will strive to master. Traveling the world discovering people willing to share their knowledge on both subjects, is my quest. My journeys starts 2013.
