Ā Let's get some content on our page! HTML is not a difficult scripting language to understand. Adding links, text, images, and such is very simple. If you are not familiar with HTML, let's define it first.

Ā What does that mean? For all practical purposes, it's the name of this internet scripting language.
Most web pages start with a heading. The heading is used to convey a summary or topic to a website visitor.

Ā Both image tags will work in a web page. No closing tag is necessary for an image tag.
Ā The "src" attribute of an HTML image element is the URL (location) of the image file. Other attributes, such as the "alt" tag (see example below), can be used with the image tag. The "alt" tag serves as a textual description. If the image cannot be displayed, the "alt" text will be displayed as an alternative to the image in a web browser.
Ā Search engine web crawlers cannot "read" an image. The "alt" attribute is useful for defining images when indexing. HTML image "alt" tags have become a SEO standard.
HTML websites contain "anchor" tags and "links". The anchor element is defined starting with <a>, and closing with </a> tags. By defining the "href" attribute, the anchor element becomes a link.
