Oh boy. Here he goes again, making a fool of himself. Perhaps it was the thought that the god could literally end him in seconds that had him quaking in his boots, and while Tom did tend to over-exaggerate the captain believed what was said with a grain of salt. Now he was here. And Dianite was right there.

Sparklez took a moment to compose himself, letting out a sharp exhale and clearing his throat. He couldn’t falter now! As the sole follower of his goddess he had to stand proud. “Well, it’s not like I didn’t want to see the place. I just… well… never mind.” The captain shook his head before he continued to speak. “I guess a tour would be nice. I’m already here, so might as well.”

It was actually a bit surprising that despite his nervousness, the newcomer was as polite as he could be, though he wasn’t sure he would have expected anything less from a follower on Ianite. It really made Dianite wonder why he had received a champion that was as loud and obnoxious as Tom.

“Well, I meant it more in a sarcastic sense; truly there isn’t much to see here. Though I don’t mind if you want to explore the grounds.”

It was completely accidental, but he’s already made it this far into the Nether. Sparklez totally didn’t forget that Dianite’s temple was in this particular location. But once he encountered it he went on to look inside. ‘Cause why not? He had wanted to get a peek inside of it anyways. He was curious!

As the captain cautiously walked in the temple halls, he wondered what secrets he would possibly find, or if he would even see the god himself. While he thought that would be really, really cool, he was also a bit nervous. As the thoughts continued, he made a turn around one of the pillars.

“Oh shit—“ Right there, sitting on the throne, was Lord Dianite. The god of all that is evil and chaotic, or at least that’s what he was told. The captain froze, seemingly processing exactly what he was looking at here, then unconsciously gave a nervous chuckle when he adressed by the god. “Ah… Dianite! Hello! I didn’t think I’d see you here! I mean, well this is your temple after all, of course you’d be here… Sorry for intruding, by the way! Totally didn’t mean to just barge in. Just wanted to sightsee a little.” It was pretty clear that he was scrambling, unsure of how to go about explaining himself in front of a god.

It was incredibly amusing, seeing the man stutter and become almost nervous in his presence. Though it wasn’t the first and certainly wouldn’t be the last, it was always a bit entertaining. He didn’t really mind the mortals entering his temple, but it was nice to make them think that he did.

“I don’t suppose my champion has given you a proper tour, but you also never really expressed interest. Unless that’s what you’re here to do?” Doubtful, but he had to ask. Besides, Tom could be a bit...over-the-top. Even the god himself had to admit threatening others wasn’t the best way to recruit them.

Watching the newcomer had quickly become a pastime so it wasn’t as if the man was a complete stranger to the god, but he had yet to speak with him face-to-face. Seeming as some distant, but always-watching deity greatly benefited him, though he was curious about what the reaction would be when he finally revealed himself. 

However, he never thought that it would be Jordan who would visit him first.

He had sensed the presence first and it was far too cautious to be his champion, slower footsteps on the stone inside the grand temple that seemed too empty. Perhaps he was seeking an alliance with Dianite himself, which would be a true delight, but he somehow didn’t get that idea.
