Like, it’s a matter of becoming actually accepting of women’s autonomy; Not having to constantly put myself in distress, trying to ‘save’ other women from the ridiculous decisions they put themselves in in relation to men. It’s kinda freeing? Instead of being frustrated with how unenlightened most women are, (for lack of a better word), I just feel bad. Even with all the inescapable whims of patriarchy, the privileged ones between us are so free to educate ourselves that it’s deflating and utterly pathetic when women who can, don’t.

Not that I wanna sound up my own ass, being so young and admittedly inexperienced, but idk!! Just because people can choose doesn’t mean they will choose what’s right in our eyes. Realistically, we are our only problem.

“That’s what we are biologically built to do” …uh, yeah? I hear this all the time. But that’s not a reason, that’s a fact. All living things can reproduce but my conscience allows me to think beyond natural instincts because I’m human.

The absolute state of the comments was vile to read and definitely jerked a few tears, especially as a young woman who is happy and comfortable with my own body hair and trying to embrace my natural beauty. I was shocked at how seriously delusional people, both men and woman, are to think that it is ‘unhygienic’, ‘dirty’, ‘disgusting’, ‘gross’, ‘ugly’, etc. when the cleaning process is the same regardless of hair being there or not. Warm water and possibly some gentle soap, guys! That’s all it takes! Not to mention that even though hair may trap the natural smell/sweat of a vulva, it still exists while hairless! How horrible and discouraging…

It’s seemingly expected from clueless men but seeing women so uneducated about their own body, care and health is insane. And of course the silence when it comes to what men are free to do with theirs. What’s also upsetting is that if you just acknowledge how simple and natural hair is, you’re labelled as a ‘feminist’ because you’re normal?? Idk but it’s something I’m not falling for. By that logic, only bald people have clean, healthy scalps.
