How likely do you think it is for Zer0 to have an in-universe body pillow of themself? Like.. Axton has one, as stated by an Echo aboard Sanctuary III.
And Zer0's also a major celebrity. Sure, they aren't intentionally one, unlike Axton. But.. They have a lot of fans.

wandering, v1 hadn't seen anyone or really anything in awhile, he can't help but wonder if he got turned around somewhere. wouldn't be the first time, admittedly. his gun at his side, he stops to look at something, curious, when he hears something approach! he quickly turns, revolver drawn, but... ⚙️ the creature is just curious, not a shambling husk, seeking to cause pain. his camera-head tilts curiously, eye dilating as it zooms in on the sniffing creature. so, he lowers his weapon, and cautiously kneels down a little, and reaches out to tentatively touch the creature's head. pat, pat. ⚙️ that's when it's handler shows up. 'is that what this about?' v1 looks up, yellow-eye now settling on the other machine. ⚙️ " 9 23-15-14-20 4-15-14-20 23-15-18-18-25. 8-5-19 3-21-20-5... 23-8-1-20 9-19 8-5? 9-20-19 14-15-20-8-9-14-7 9 8-1-22-5 15-14 6-9-12-5 1-20 12-5-1-19-20. (i won't, don't worry. he's cute… what is he? it's nothing i have on file at least.) " but, he's lost, for sure. ⚙️
That slightest touch does it for the skag - whom immediately jumps with excitement, followed by pressing their head into the other machine's touch with a surprising amount of force. A clear indication that they want more, obviously.
Which does well to aid in masking FL4K's brief pause. A minute one, only lasting a second. While it isn't unheard of to run into fellow bots with odd vocal patterns, this one stands out amongst the rest. Luckily, it only takes a matter of milliseconds to translate.
❛ You do not know? ❜ Skags are a very well-known animal - at least for a Pandoran creature. But this isn't Pandora. ❛ He's an ordinary skag whelp, albeit with some modifications. ❜ Notably, the green cybernetic eyes, mirroring FL4K's own.
Their optic raises at the sight of Mr. Chew now trying to lick the other machine's hand. Either in affection, or in an attempt to lick up any gore - they can't tell. ❛ They're native to and found almost everywhere on Pandora. Durable, wonderful beasts that can survive in even the harshest of climates. ❜
Right out of the gate, I need to make this painfully clear:
FL4K smells like a rotting corpse.
They canonically carry human organs around in their coat pockets, live amongst animals, are often seen elbow-deep in someone's corpse, and probably haven't bathed in at least thirty years.
And you likely won't be able to talk them into fixing this, either. Just like their animal companions, getting them into a bath will be just like trying to throw a cat in the tub - they will find every conceivable way of avoiding or weaseling out.
What makes this worse is that FL4K canonically has olfactory sensors. They probably KNOW they smell bad, but just don't care or don't see it as anything concerning. Likely both.

There's a sense of pride that comes with having such well-trained beasts at one's beck and call. A loyal companion that'll always attack when commanded - displaying not an ounce of fear.
That.. is not something FL4K is feeling right now.
No, instead of remaining at the machine's side, their current companion - their skag, Mr. Chew - has decided to bolt off in a seemingly random direction. Which FL4K needs to follow, for obvious reasons.
When their pace can finally slow, they find their skag curiously sniffing someone.
❛ Is that what this is about? ❜ They tilt their head at the skag, then look back up to finally look at the other person. ❛ He's friendly. Just don't give him a reason to change that. ❜

v1 had been crouched down, lightly poking at one of the husks, curiously, maybe it was a morbid, but. what else is new, with him? dead things interested him, even outside of the fuel they gave. he wonders what it's like... ⚙️ but suddenly, he's snapped from that train of thought, by the appearance of someone else. all at once, he's on his feet, and reaching for his gun, but he takes pause when he realizes the other machine isn't immediately attacking. it's an offer, he had choice in the matter. not something he was used to, admittedly. ⚙️ v1's machinery hums in thought, he'd be smiling, if he could. there's a sudden, quick set of excited nods, accepting the challenge. gun finally pulled out, he gives a quick bow, a learned sign, out of respect, before lunging forward, and!-- ⚙️ " 5-14 7-1-18-4-5! (en garde!) " ⚙️
There's a certain thrill to meeting someone new - not an enemy, but not an ally either. It's only fair for them, as a former Vault Hunter, to engage in what they know best - combat.
So when the other nods, drawing their weapon - Zer0 is eager to step into place, returning the nod with an illuminating [ <3 ] projected over their helmet... Only to promptly disappear from sight.
The only indicator of their darting movement - circling behind V1 - is the throws of their kunai. One, two, three - up to five, each creating a small explosion of a random element. Fire, corrosive, shock..
The fifth throw nears the end of Decepti0n's timer - the sickly purple of the slagged blade thrown directly at the machine's core.
