My dad was back in the States from the Pacific, in training to be a bomber pilot during the landings of D-Day. His friend and neighbor died on Omaha Beach to free the French and Europe from the tyranny of the Nazis. This happened just so the French government, and the European Union can give it to the Islamofacists.

In 1969 the Boss 302 went toe to toe with the Camaros and narrowly lost the Trans-Am championship, largely because Roger Penske's pit organization was simply better. Lessons were learned. In 1970, Parnelli Jones and Dan Gurney drove Boss 302s that had been prepared by Shelby-American, making them the only Shelby Boss Mustangs ever built. Ford reclaimed the Trans-Am manufacturer's championship. Ford then promptly cancelled the entire program. Just 7,013 examples were built across both model years, with 6,319 of them being 1970 cars. They won the championship and killed the car the same year. Classic Ford.
