**: It gives a feeling of getting absorbed into a Gargenten.
...depending on how Voyik you are, that's either a great feeling or a horrifying feeling, with no in between.
This has been your weekly news report from the fusion-obsessed Story Logger.
Can I just say how cool it was that both of these superheroines’ personalities and powers were explored in this episode? And how well it was done?
Starfire was not shamed for being emotional. Her powers come from her emotions.
Raven was not shamed for suppressing her emotions. Her power requires amazing control.
They both. Work. They are both different kinds of strength, and they are both heroic and powerful and good. And they each learned from the other, and helped each other out by seeing from each others’ perspective, and finding the value in their differing approaches! Wow!
Fuck yes, this is how you write super-ladies, okay. There’s more than one way to be a “strong female character.” There’s all different kinds of strength. Why don’t more people GET this?
Random naughty fusion pun
I’d rather be stuck in someone sturdy than stuck in a rut, if ya know what I mean (both sturdy and rut have double meanings here, of course ;3)
Can I talk for a moment about visual storytelling, cause, I feel like it’s something that a lot of adaptations forget about in lieu of trying to replicate their source material.
It’s a problem you see most often in anime derived from manga or light novels, but it’s also present in movies based on YA novels, and you gotta know what I’m talking about, start on black, opening narration, fade in as the main character explains the world and environment. This works in a book since the reader can’t see anything, they need the specifics of the world explained, but it feels like the movies are just like “well it worked for the book, it’ll work for us right?
I’d say it’s worse in anime, where characters will go on long internal soliloquies trying to explain their thought processes and complex emotions, which again, works for the manga, in a manga movement is very expensive, every single motion requires it’s own panel, which takes up the artist’s time, printed space, and a moment in the narrative, so it’s important to only show what absolutely needs to be shown. But animation is different, it’s all movement and the details are what sells it more than the dialogue.
The reason I wanted to make this post is because of one scene in One Punch Man that perfectly exemplifies how to translate a written thought process into visual storytelling. After getting punched to the moon (err, spoilers), Saitama has this thought process
and it’d be easy to translate that entirely literally in the anime, Saitama crouches, has an internal monologue as he tries to figure out how much force he needs to put into his jump, and then he launches. Instead though, the scene is done completely silently, to sell the fact that he’s in space, but the thought process isn’t removed, it’s just show visually.
He throws a bit of moon rock to gauge the moon’s gravity, then launches, it’s a much more thoughtful approach to the scene and the audience’s ability to interpret visual information.
I just, really wish more adaptations realized the inherent strength of the visual medium instead of relying entirely on the source material’s structure and reliance on its own medium.
Duly noted, for sure.

Like Hoovervilles.
Okay but seriously, do this. This is the number one way to topple narcissist agendas. You want your name everywhere? You want to be adored? Here’s consequence. Now no one will be able to look at you without remembering those kids and how utterly despicable you are. Attach his name all over this shit. Make it impossible for him to get away from it in future years too. #Trumpcamps.
Make this trend. Make it a top google search. Make this his fucking whole presidency. The only thing he did. Trumpcamps.
theres already a urban entry on this, let’s make it bigger
It’s hard to believe the atrocity happened in the first place, but now it has, we need to make sure that it is known as an atrocity. Seems logical enough.

And your future holds…Bees?
Knowing my luck, they are probably Wooden Bees and will try to attack me.
Walking a dog is the only time it’s socially acceptable to carry around a bag of shit in public.
This is so funny that I laughed aloud. I usually hate potty humor, but I think this is funny for unrelated reasons...
Being part of the social justice culture or the “stay woke” culture, I usually thought that the main purposes were to:
1) Unlearn what was taught to you
2) Learn what was never taught to you
3) Educate those around you with the knowledge you have
But you see…
You will come across people that will ask questions that may sound problematic but they just genuinely are confused about the matter and just want to learn
I had a white girl, sweet as hell, that was curious about why White people can’t say the N-word but Black people can say it.
Now… If this was Black Tumblr/Twitter, y'all wouldve ate her alive and spit her out. Like, why would you ask a question like that????
I didnt take any offense to the question, because again, you have to educate.
I broke it down simply…
“Bitch was a term used by men against women… If you call your female friend ‘my bitch’, theres nothing wrong with that… but if a guy did the same thing to his female friend, that wouldnt not look too good…”
Then she understood! She doesnt like when men call her or other women bitches but she noticed how women call each other bitches (almost) all the time in a friendly context.
Some SJW ppl would resort to just straight ridicule. Like relentlessly roast you, and you just wanted to ask a question, get your answer, and just go.
I understand some people would come outta nowhere with smartass comments and deserve that roasting, im 120% for that, but yall really need to learn the difference between those 2 groups of people.
I remember saying/doing something problematic not too long ago. This guy just went off on me, called me stupid, and vaguely explained why what I did was problematic. When I asked for a more in-depth answer as to why it was an issue, he didnt want to explain, he didnt have the “energy” to explain but had plenty of energy to say what i did was wrong and i was stupid to do it.
To this day, I STILL dont know exactly what was wrong but I am avoiding that action for sure.
To cut it shortly for yall,
Some people genuinely dont know what they do/say was wrong. Some ask questions to learn and educate themselves. Relax…
Ridicule or slander shouldnt be a first option to everything, if anything, its more counterproductive. Not to mention yall do this for notes and attention on social media.
ALL. OF. THIS.
My mother works at a school that specializes in a Hebrew Curriculum on the side. She won’t let me ask them any questions about how kosher diet works for fear they’ll get offended. I always counter with “The man who asks a question is a fool for a minute, the man who does not, is a fool forevermore.”
Reblogging this because I care about others and want to be as kind and respectful as possible, but all too easily get genuinely confused about something on pretty much every topic, and am very tired of people refusing to explain things to me.

I wanted to take a crack at @freshproducewolf ’s produce transformation stuff! I went ahead and made it weird cos that’s what I do.
[ Fur Affinity | deviantART | Twitter ]
Oh my goodness! What a cool take on this idea, thank you so much!
That’s so cool :3 ;3
OMG, he even drew merging! FreshProduceWolf is so awesome :3 ;3
1) they expensive bruh 2) none of us kno the dif btwn a fucking diamond and some fancy ass glass ur capitalist rock hierarchy has no control over us
3) mostly mined with slave labor
4) we get excited when our date buys us an appetizer, we don’t even comprehend people buying us rocks that would force us into debt for ten years
5) They aren’t actually that rare and the price is artificially inflated.
Pro tip from a former Jared’s salesperson: You want a sparkly white rock that will look like a diamond to the untrained eye and will literally cost the price of a nice dinner for two? Created white sapphire. They’re lab grown and cost *pennies* to make, so you can get a 1 or 2 carat white sapphire for like… $30-80 probably. You can get one as huge as you like, perfectly clear, perfectly flawless. And no one will ever be able to tell the difference except a professional appraiser. Also, sapphires are the second-hardest gemstone (right after diamonds) so they are very durable! Very unlikely that they’ll chip or crack. Get that bitch set in sterling silver and you are GOOD TO GO. Whole thing should cost you less than $200 unless you get a fancy band with a lot of extra stones. Of course, created sapphires come in every color of the rainbow, so if you want something more exciting than plain white, you TOTALLY CAN.
Created sapphires and silver: The poor Millennial’s engagement ring.
THANK YOU EX-JARED’S BASED GOD.
engagement rings: HACKED
Get a ring from an antique store. They’re usually less than $100, you know they hold up over time, no one else will have one like it, and it comes with the bonus of being haunted by the spirit of some old woman named Edith probably.
My mother, who worked in fine jewelry retail for over 30 years, always advised to avoid diamonds… diamonds aren’t rare, and their worth is generally bullshit. If you want something with real rarity/worth, she always advised getting precious gems like rubies, sapphires, or emeralds. Don’t fall for those commercials/ads; opt for other precious gems when you can.
Or as the person above me stated, get an antique ring. They’re often unique or made with styles or cuts that might not exist anymore, so you’d have something pretty special and memorable. My mother also recommended that option too :) (minus the haunting, lol)
Good to know. :3

tldr; The game is coming along nicely but slowly. Currently working on character art, the next step is working more with code. No estimate for when a demo will be ready.
“Hey! It’s me. The snake. I’m gonna help the developer deliver some news. So that they don’t turn out long-winded and boring like him.”
Thanks, Bale, you’re a doll!
“A doll that could break every bone in your body if it wants to.”
Yeah, Chucky on steroids. But you do give some good cuddles!
“They’re called a bear hugs. They’re for suffocating people and breaking their ribs. My favorite kind of cuddlin’.”
Oh… right. Well, let’s tell people what’s up in wrestling visual novel land?
“Yep. And the answer is nothing, right?”
Umm, no. There’s plenty going on. I’m laying a solid foundation for the work to come in the future.
“It’s a nice way of saying you’re slacking off, right?”
Shut up. I just finished preparing your own character art for the game, for instance. Now you’ve got a total of 40 different faces, and they’re all cataloged and labelled so that I can easily choose between them when the time comes to write you into the game. Moreover, they can all be modified with blushes, bruises, tears, and other effects for infinite variation.
"I don’t blush, I don’t bruise, and I sure as hell don’t cry, so you could have saved yourself the trouble.”
Oh, we’ll see about that. Anyway, I now have a whooping total of 17 characters commissioned and delivered, and more are in the pipeline. They’ll be spread around the different visual novel routes, so some you may only meet on one particular route. Even so, all of these characters need the same art preparation that Bale has had. Right now, I’m done with 5, and have 12 to go. Some are quickly done, and some are more work, but I intend to finish them all before moving on.
*yawns*
My next step will be to dabble with the game engine and prepare the code I need to make the game. Then, I will start coding the game, making a demo first, and expanding the game from there. When will I have a demo ready? No idea, I really can’t tell!
"Boring! Nobody’s gonna read this. Where are the pictures?”
Eh, we could show them a little piece of your coach, right? He hasn’t been properly introduced yet, and his art is just finished!
“Don’t. Old Frankenbear’s goin’ ta scare the kids.”
Kids aren’t allowed here. And I think he’s ruggedly handsome. Take a look!
"A mug doesn’t get uglier than that. And stop combing your fingers through his beard, he looks uncomfortable.”
…what?
*rolls eyes*
Oh. Oh! Right. Fine, let’s wrap it up for now, then and be back with more news at a later time. Enjoy your weekend, people!
“Cheers. Don’t get hit by a bus!”
Reblogging an update post on the dev blog of a game I’m paying close admirat- err, I mean, attention to.
Mainly to say: As a fellow game developer who lives in the same house as a fellow coder, I can say for the certain that it is absolutely understandable to anyone who knows what it entails that a game that externally looks like it is coming along slowly is actually one that the developer is super busy on if it is indeed coming along at all, especially for the code parts since coding is specifically the part of the game that normal players don’t need/want to see; it’s all that under-the-hood stuff that is supposed to run so smoothly than normal players don’t even notice it’s there. Players only really care what the code is doing when it shows a bug, so if the developer is hard at work meticulously checking to make sure there are no damaging bugs in the game’s system, that is indeed quite hefty work even though it will be most invisible when done best. Not to mention that the amount of data that must be developed for a game, and then the process of putting that data into the game (and by data I mean story events, character info, image and sound assets, as well as the more direct mathematical data that any program, including a game, runs on) can actually take a lot more time that reading that info later on as a player (or even as the program itself, heh).
